What travelers are saying
- northlondongal2017London, UK22 contributionsWe got there early so we were pretty much the only ones there. The entrance area includes very clean and well kept bathroom/changing booths. There is a bit of a walk to the falls themselves, all down hill on the way there and of course therefore, uphill on the way back. My 90 year old dad couldn’t make it but he spent a lovely time with the staff at the entrance area. Meanwhile, we arrived at the main pool area (which is very secure) to meet a guide who walked us up, through a section of the waterfall itself via deep and shallow pools then back down via a very short underwater cave and a couple of optional jumps. One of our party was a non-swimmer but still managed to join in, in the water.
It was an exhilarating experience for me, a breathtakingly beautiful place and we all had a great time. If you visit Portland during an extremely rainy time, you may find the Falls are closed due to the quantity of water passing through the Falls - do check in advance. - Cortni JLondon, UK43 contributionsA morning at this beach will help calm your mind and spirit. I came here solo in the morning and found the beach empty. Best to bring your own towel and drinks. There is someone from the community to let you in to park and you can make a small donation as well to keep the facilities up to date. Quiet and very relaxing. There are turtles nesting, so be aware of signs and advice from locals. There is plenty of shade and food/drink if you need anything.Written June 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lady CherylValley Stream, NY645 contributionsWe arrived and paid $1000 jmd for a group. We we parked and changed into our swim suits in the bathroom on the property.
The grounds were clean and well kept. We saw the pool being cleaned. We walked through a very beautiful picturesque walk and waited for the boatman.
The boat was cleaned and our life jacket sanitized. We were helped into our small boat and slowly guided into the falls. It ride was VERY beautiful.
The boatman allowed us to come off the boat and sit under/in the falls. The experience was lovely. We took several pictures. After we were brought back to the shore. The boat ride was short but lovely. We tipped the boat driver $10US for our group of 6.
We purchase food from a local off site resturant and ate on somerset fall area by the pool. We went in the pool and played on their grassed area. Lovely day for a group.Written June 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. 400 Jamaican $ (about £2) to enter.
Pity about the bottles and cans left around, perhaps the entry fee could pay for someone to litter pick?
Enjoyed by local people, and tourists alike.

Best conversation ever. A few days later I joined her in the water. The beach bar Cool Vibz is on this beach too and is a great place to hangout. Had ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings and plantains which rocked my world...lol. Look for Mike and have him hook you up some of the best Jamaican food you will ever have. - Charlotte4 contributionsWhile visiting Errol Flynn Marina Beach for the weekend, my husband and I were able to view the beautiful island. Because of not having assess to a boat, we were not able to go over and explore the island. But it is a beautiful view from the entire Port Antonio Bay area.Written August 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew Little3 contributionsIm sure they do there best to keep this beach clean but the water wasn't as clean as other beaches in the area. Plastic and seaweed covered the sands and one worker trying to clean it just couldnt keep up. There was NO food or drinks and a charge to get in which seemed to turn some people away to the more active beaches. Swim to monkey island if you were adventurous enough ? Apparently there is some reefs out near monkey island but they were too far from shore to swim to on ruff sea days.
