Something for everyone even if your not into cars
I’m not a car enthusiast at all this stop was for the teenager, However we spent several enjoyable hours in the museum. The museum is very modern and laid out so that it is accessible for people with mobility issues and parents with prams. We had a 2 year old with us in a pram and could access every display without using steps. Entry includes a headset which gives lots of information about the cars and the history of Porsche. The cars on display were spectacular there is something for everyone including the cars to sit in and the virtual race stations. There is a cafe in which we had lunch food was great. Highly recommended as a wonderful family day out.

Book a factory tour if you can
Visited in mid-February 2023 while in Stuttgart. Amazing experience! Took a 911/718 factory tour and visited the museum afterwards. It was fantastic seeing 911s/718s in production (cameras/phones not allowed). The tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable! Impressive building and well laid out museum. I was there for at least three hours. Using the audio guide enriches the museum experience. So much to learn about the history of Porsche. For car (performance) enthusiasts, it is really easy to spend a full day at the Porsche museum. Factory tours are booked online but are paid for on-site.

    There is no substitute!
What can I say, this museum is known to every car nut and racing fan. About two hours will do here for most sane people. What is interesting here also are the cars they left out: the cayenne, the macan, the panamera. In other words, the cayenne made a lot of money for the company, but this is not what everyone wants to see and hear about. For myself, I was delighted with the exhibits pertaining to the 356 and 911. I Also understand the reason for only one measly Taycan--- new product and no vroom vroom (electric car). I also appreciated the helpful staff standing around to answer questions. What a company! Enjoy.

    Short but nice
Porsche museum is for pace lovers and of course the auto fans. If you are staying in stuttgart for more than 2 days, definitely worth spending hours there. You can sit in new 911 and taycan, play the simulator and more

    Fun interactive museum
Great museum with interactive elements for the whole family. It is a self-paced tour of Porsche from the beginning to today. You can sit in a few current model cars, drive a Porsche in a virtual driving game and there are other hands-on elements relating to the technology behind Porsche. It took us about two hours to do the museum. A good but if time was spent waiting in line for the virtual driving experience. There’s a cafe and parking is easy in the garage below the museum.

Don't miss this if in the Stuittgart area
Truly exceeded my expectations. I'm not much of a sports car buff, but this museum truly wow-ed me. The museum winds your way through the history of Porsches, even showing one of their tractors. The display out front is hard to miss, showing three Porsches appearing to shoot up into the sky. My only recommendation would be to expand their shp at the end of the tour. Don't miss this one.

    Fabulous .
Being current Porsche 911 owners, it was a no-brainer to come here. It’s an excellent museum, with plenty of displays and interactive exhibits, including a very clever virtual reality game, where you attempted to hand- build one of the early Porsche roadsters. And the first Porsches had an electric motor! We stayed nearly 4 hours

    Well worth a visit
Really fun experience visiting the Porsche museum. I took my teenage daughter, who is really keen on cars. Got to see all of the cars we dreamed of seeing. The museum is high quality and interactive.

    Fantastic Visit
The museum is so easy to find, the S-Bahn station is right next to the museum and is only a short ride from the main station. When I arrived to buy a ticket the staff were very polite and friendly. There are plenty of cars on display and the audio guide explained them in more detail if you wanted. You can spend as much time in the museum as you like, I was in the museum for approx 1.5 hours. Definitely recommend to anybody who is in stuttgart to visit.

We booked a guided tour and Yoshi was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the informative tour coupled with her engaging and genuine approach. She is an asset to the museum, we had a wonderful afternoon - thank you again from the German / Australian family.

I did an amazing tour of the factory better than I thought it was going to be. Then I visited the museum. I was impressed at the collection displayed. All kinds of car you can only see in magazines, video, or movies I never believed I would be able to see them in person simply unbelievable.

It is a nice museum of a nice car company. There is a lot information on car models, however we missed the information on the details behing the brand - how did the logo appear and some other facts. A lot of exhibits did not have an audio story, so you were limited to reading the fact sheets.

I still consider it as a must visit, but there is enough space for improvement. And of course would love to come back for Porsche Drive and Porsche factory tour.

Much smaller than the Mercedes museum. Leaves the impression that Porsche really produced only one car in many variations. Still worth the visit. Excellent gift shop. There's not much else to do in Stuttgart anyway.

Beautifully presented museum. All white and clean. Amazing selection of cars. Great interpretation available in English. I could hardly tear my son away. Many hours of reading and history.

Enjoyed this museum. Not as big and diverse as Mercedes but lot of nice racing cars to look at. Spent 2 hours in there. We were able to call an Uber quickly for ride back to hotel even though the hotel and the tourist information said Uber doesn’t service Stuttgart

My husband is a Porsche fanatic so we recently visited the Porsche complex in Stuttgart on a recent trip to Germany. To visit the Museum costs 8 euros per adult and then 4 euros for parking (which is underneath the Museum). As my photos show, in the Museum there were all sorts of Porsches of various ages, all of which are in absolutely pristine condition. There were also "sound silos" where one could hear the roaring engines of various Porsche cars as well as a Porsche Tractor. I am not into cars at all and found it interesting enough for an hour. My husband, on the other hand, was completely enthralled and said that many of the cars were extremely rare so for a true Porsche enthusiast, this seems to be the place.

The Museum has a nice giftshop with postcards and a variety of Porsche pens, clothes, luggage, books and miniature cars. There is also a coffee shop in the lobby, a cafe and a nice restaurant (but check for dates/times).

Couple of tips:
- The city tram stops directly outside the Museum door.
- You can take a free 2 hour "Porsche Factory Tour", at 10 am M-F so long as you book it in advance (contact info on the Porsche Museum website)
- If you take the Factory Tour on a Monday, the Museum parking garage will be closed. Because of this, we were allowed to park for free at the Porsche Dealership directly across the street from the Museum.
- During the Factory Tour, we visited the parts warehouse, then the floor where the various engines were assembled and last of all, the final assembly line.

We went via the metro train on the S6 (Brown Line) from Stuttgart to Neuwirtshaus (Porscheplatz). We stepped off the train and across the road is the main Porsche dealership - Porsches as far as the eye can see. After looking around the shop and knowing we couldn't afford one we went looking for the museum which has no clear signs indicating where it is. We finally walked across the road from the dealership towards the factory and as you walk down a one way street take the first lefthand street (there is a sign with "Museum" on it hidden in the bushes), walk to the end and there are signs to the museum. It has a covercharge and a good range of merchandise to buy but it is small and can be looked over in about 1/2 an hour. Very disappointing as we had come from Frankfurt especially. They also have factory tours but these were not available when we got there. It has several cars on display but mostly cars involved in racing in the history of porsche and the insides of the new 4wd Cheyenne.
