PODCAST:

May 5, 2024 ~ Host Ann Thomas talks to Grant Hilbers, Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority chief capital officer, to hear about the progress made on the Gordie Howe International Bridge construction. The bridge celebrated 2,000 days of construction and over 12 million hours worked in late March, with community members of all ages invited to participate in a hard hat sticker design contest for the milestone. So far, the bridge tower construction is complete with towers now standing at their final height of 220 meters/722 feet, with only 10 of 56 segments remaining to be installed on the bridge deck over the Detroit River.
