It is just a different matrix run-out variant as it says under Barcode and other Identifiers.

Personally, I prefer the OG Japan vinyl pressing - it has greater depth and definition. This edition is missing the sheen of the original. Somewhat surprised that this has such great reviews in a number of audiophile forums. - Edited 10 months ago

One of the most incredible pressings I have ever heard. Super-dynamic - wide soundstage, with very clear separation of instruments. Percussion on this release is incredibly clean and defined. Vinyl is dead-quiet, and artwork is as you would expect from a Japan release. If you want to test your system, look no further than this record. referencing Pirates (LP, Album, Stereo) P-10900W
Wonderful press! The press is full of Silence, details, and very smooth sound.referencing Pirates (LP, Album) XBS 3432
This record is hell of a bargain! The music is amazing, her best??? Possibly…
The vinyl is quiet and the recording and pressing are top notch. You won’t be disappointed, buy it, buy two and give one to a friend.referencing Pirates (LP, Album, Club Edition) BSK 3432
Great sounding issue of a great record. One of the good ones.- Edited 8 months ago

can't understand a single word she's singing but the ditties are moist. Smooth & creamy. That's what she said.

Parks Puffin phono - This - as almost any of the conteporary MFSLs - is harsh and shrill. If you are a true audiophile, do yourself a favour and avoid this. The original US and the original Japan press offer so much more sonics.
- Edited 2 years agoTo echo what cdfreak said, I’ve got two copies of this pressing and there is definite audible surface noise. Both this and the MoFi 45rpm release of her first album were done by Rhino Records under license from MoFi, that may explain the subpar sound quality compared to some other MoFi releases. It’s a shame because both albums have some super quiet passages and I would love to hear them against a black background. Still, amazing music and once the band lights up the surface noise is overshadowed. Love RLJ, what an amazing songwriter and performer.

I just can't stand that they put the 'Original Master Soundtrack' at the top of the cover. Why are CD people constantly being treated as if they don't care about the aesthetic presentation of the album cover? Am I alone in feeling this?
