1. Heath Robinson Museum

Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm this stylish purpose-built museum dedicated to the life and work of William Heath Robinson has become a focal point in Pinner's beautiful Memorial Park. Heath Robinson (1872-1944) was a renowned landscape artist, cartoonist, illustrator and social historian. Much loved as the "Gadget King" for his pictures of complex contraptions designed to achieve the simplest of outcomes, his work retains huge resonance with our modern world. With a rolling programme of themed Special Exhibitions complementing the main Heath Robinson Gallery, this beautifully-curated small museum is a must-see for all ages. A short walk from Pinner Tube (Met Line) with ample parking, make it a day out: enjoy the park with its tree-lined walkways, secure well-equipped children's play area, have a coffee overlooking the lake and visit shops, cafes and restaurants in Pinner's village and historic High Street . Changing temporary exhibitions run for three months.

7. Pinnora Brewing

First formed in early 2016 in Pinner, a leafy suburb in North West London. Pinnora is Pinner’s first craft brewery and takes its name from the village dating back to the early 13th century. We moved into our current commercial premises in late 2018, and released our first commercial beers early in 2019. We also released a number of collaboration beers with brewing friends both in the UK & US. Having invested in additional tanks, we've increased our production capacity to be able to output around 1500L each month, though this still does not come close to meeting the capacity we need to fulfill current demand, meaning our releases are currently only available directly from our online shop at present. We have additional expansion plans this year and are in advanced negotiations to further expand into adjacent premises, which will increase production capacity even further. We are also in planning discussions with Harrow council to secure our first taproom premises in late 2020.

8. Pinner Village Gardens

Pinner Village Gardens are owned by the London Borough of Harrow, located in the borough’s Pinner South Ward on the outskirts of Pinner town centre, and have entrances from Rayners Lane, Compton Rise, Whittington Way and Hereford Gardens. They are a 10-minute walk from Pinner tube station on the Metropolitan Line, and provide 6.58 hectares for informal recreation. The Gardens were laid out at the same time as the development of the suburb in the 1920s. It is unique in that it contains a medieval narrow rig ridge and furrow field in the south part of the park, a feature usually found on poorly drained soil where ploughing had been carried out for a relatively long period. Harrow Borough Council in the mid-eighties intended to level this field to make it easier for them to cut the grass, however an archaeological survey was carried out to determine whether these features really represented ridge and furrow or whether they were later drainage features. No field drains were found and all the evidence pointed to the earthworks being ridge and furrow of the type commonly known as narrow rig. It is the nearest surviving ridge and furrow to central London and the images below show that the ridges can still be seen to this day.

    Lovely reminder of his genius
    I was doing an event at RAF Northolt in the evening, so looked for something to do in the afternoon. Found this online, glad I did.
    I grew up seeing Heath-Robinson drawings, have always loved the inventiveness and gentle satire.
    The museum is small, but well laid out and a good range of Heath-Robinson books and prints for sale.
    The sign is a bit hidden, so look for the Dental practice signs - yes, it IS there.
    Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

    Geese!
    Always seems to be happy geese and ducks/birds on the pond. There is also a hut with donzens of beautiful budgies.

    A hub of community with horendous seating
    I attended the Harrow Arts Centre for an evening show and had a great time. It's clear and obvious that the centre is a pillar of the local community offering so many different things - I was there from 10.30am to past midnight and saw so many different people from different walks of life coming and going, it was lovely to see.

    The men's toilets were clean and tidy, though somewhat old fashioned and worn. The lock on the cubicle can stick - I very nearly thought I was stuck in there - so be careful!

    The only real negative is the seats in the Elliot Hall. If you're tall, fat or have chronic pain issues, they suck. They're very narrow, flimsy and uncomfortable. I'm a short bloke, only 5'6", and I had less leg room than on an airplane.

    While the facilities might not be the newest and the campus is a bit of a maze, it's clear that a lot of local people view the centre with a lot of love and passion. It was wonderful to see such a sense of community.

    Food & craft
    Lovely little local craft market with Lego table etc & in summer outside inflatable to occupy the children as well as the small petting zoo.
    Lovely stalls inside selling local honey, cheeses, wines and delicious cakes amongst other things.
    Really tasty street food can be bought for lunch if you don’t want to bring a picknick which you can eat on the grassy area.
    Small but great. This one is on the first Sunday of the month but they do have another but don’t know which Sunday.

    Lovely Afternoon
    I booked for my daughter and 3 friends to ride for 45 mins groom and feed. They had the most amazing time. All the staff were lovely with them and they had so much time grooming lovely ponies.

    I would highly recommend this. I definitely want to take the girls back soon.

    Big clean hall for events
    I have done 1 event myself and attended a few events. This place is very nice for parties and caretakers are friendly. Plenty of parking next to hall and approachable by underground too so very good location for the hall.

    Very busy with lots of adults and children!
    I have been to Jungle Monkeyz a few times with my daughter and we went there again on Friday afternoon. It was very busy and there were lots of children running around! My daughter was playing by herself in the soft play area when another little girl came up to her and scratched her on the face leaving a mark on her nose! She said that the girl just came up to her and scratched her for no reason! I was watching my daughter as she was playing and observed the girl touching her face! I didn't know that she had scratched her until my daughter told me! It might be more useful to have some staff supervising the children instead of just serving food and cleaning tables! I'm not sure if I will be taking her back to Jungle Monkeyz again!

    Lovely drinks just small and very dark
    Exactly as my title says.. beautiful cocktails and cheap early on in the night but so pokey 1 toilet for each and so dark

    a real letdown
    This place only serves pizzas and sandwiches....NO chips or anything else easy and they didn't have anything to make sandwiches with so they were off. There was a Sainsburys 300 yards away but they couldn't send someone to buy bread, ham, cheese etc. ..NO that was too much trouble...unbelievable Pizza which I didn't really want was ok
