Prince Pierre, Duke of Penthièvre (Philippe Jean Marie; 4 November 1845 – 17 July 1919) was Duke of Penthièvre and a grandson of French king Louis Philippe I and of Brazilian Emperor Pedro I. Declining a proposal to marry into the Brazilian royal family, he chose a naval career and fathered two children without marrying. Prince Pierre was an officer in the Union Navy and French Navies and a global traveller.

Though he never married, Pierre had two children from a married woman named Angélique Lebesgue (1852-1883)
- Jeanne Lebesgue (1879-1938 or 1971?) married Marquis Jean de Gouy, Count of Arsy.
- Pierre Lebesgue (1881-1962) married Yvonne Maëlec but had no issue.
