- WanderingOttersonsDenver, Colorado1,384 contributionsA nice stop for food or drinks when wanderingAs advertised, this is a very busy square. Walking by earlier in the day is a little less crowded but later on a Saturday night (especially after the local futbol team just won the league for the first time in 33 years!) is an entirely different story. There are some old ruins just sitting there to be viewed from behind the fenced in area but the real treat is the dozen or so bars and restaurants that line the place. A great stop while wandering about the city to get some bites and drinks.Visited May 2023Traveled with friendsWritten June 7, 2023
- Karvy MSydney, Australia26 contributionsBeautiful BelliniBrilliantly set in a refurbished "palace" right on the edge of the Old Town. We had a VERY small room, so be sure to ask for a room with windows at eye level! Windows were almost 2 metres from the floor! Very clean. Excellent staff at Reception and cleaning. Very helpful. Trip recommendations by Reception were brilliant. Breakfast was the highlight of the day and the courtyard great for relaxing with a drink after sightseeing. Recommended... but ask for a more traditional room.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 2, 2023

A small piazza (square) in the center of the the historical district contains a lower level with ancient ruins. I must to see. Not lost of signs explaining, however info is easily found when googled. Free to visit and cute cafe around.

This is a little piazza in the heart of the historic areas. Lots of interesting music shops and various other shops nearby. There is a Greek wall from the 6thC BC here, and a few popular cafes. At night it is a very popular spot with students and locals, many groovy little bars nearby.
But OH SO dirty!! Rubbish everywhere.

We stayed in this area at the Hotel Piazza Bellini and there are a great few little restaurants/cafes. It is a popular place for locals to hang out at night drinking beer on the street and can be loud; however, I wouldn't make a special trip to this Piazza unless you happen to be in the vicinity. The statue in the piazza is sadly covered in graffiti, like most of Naples.

This is the place to be at night. Lots of people, tourists and locals. Beautiful location and you get to see the ruins from the old town right in the middle of the square.

Fabulous vibe at night with crowds in the park hanging out talking, drinking, smoking. The bars are full even at 3am in a Tuesday night.

We were staying at nearby hotel, and came through the throngs of young folks every night of the week, we were amazed weekday nights seemed like weekend nights. There is a lot of drinking and you can smell smoke that is not from cigarettes. Everyone is either people watching of engaged in a lively conversation punctuated with hand gestures. Its definitely for the 18-28 year olds but everyone is respectful as you squeeze by and if you really want to see what the youth culture in Naples is about this is the place to come.
