Just a friendly reminder if you don't feel well, please be considerate.I was just in shoprite and this lady pushed past my daughter and I in the produce and proceeded to cough all over us and the produce. I'm just hoping we don't get sick from that. It's seriously not that hard to wear a mask for an hour or use basic courtesy and not cough on the produce or the people. This is why we're all getting sick.

Reducing Washington Ave to 1 lane from 5th to 11th tortures the traffic.Such a bad and poor idea whoever implemented it. Also, the PVC rods that block the lane/reducing parking places look ugly and dirty after trash trucks and other trucks run them over day by day.

What do you think about the article in the Inquirer on Saturday 3/23 about how great the fixes on Washington avenue really are?My opinion, not so much! The constant backup in the one lane from 4th to Broad is never ending. Waiting between three to five red lights, at each corner, is madding at the very least. Drivers are speeding less because they can't move. The numbers of drivers has declined because traffic is being diverted onto neighborhood streets. The stretch of the roadway between Broad and Grays Ferry Avenue is still four lanes, thanks to residents of Point Breeze who felt that they had not been sufficient opportunity to comment on the changes. Double parking and sidewalk parking persist because Washington Avenue, which serves Center City and South Philadelphia, has been a commercial corridor for over a hundred years. It is important that Philadelphia continue to maintain this vital roadway as the commercial area that it has always been hopefully it will continue to do so.
