List of all members of the House Targaryen from the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin and the HBO shows Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. House Targaryen is a prominent house of Westeros. Their coat of arms depicts a fire-breathing three-headed dragon and their motto is “Fire and Blood.” Most of the Targaryen bloodline was wiped out during Robert Baratheon's rebellion.

Who is the most prominent member of the House Targaryen? Daenerys Targaryen (AKA Daenerys Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, Khaleesi) was the daughter of King Aerys II. She appears in the Song of Ice and Fire book series and was played by Emilia Clarke on the HBO show Game of Thrones. Daenerys sought to reclaim the Iron Throne for House Targaryen. She was aided in her quest by legions of followers and her three dragons Viserion, Rhaegal and Drogon.

Aerys II Targaryen (AKA The Mad King) was King of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros before Robert Baratheon's rebellion. He died before the setting of the Song of Ice and Fire book series and HBO show Game of Thrones. Aerys was plotting to destroy the entire capital of King's Landing with wildfire rather than be conquered by Robert Baratheon. Jaime Lannister killed him before he got the chance.

    He is bonded to the dragon Silverwing.
