The breakup between Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson might fresh, but the comedian appears to be making a statement already.
Davidson wore his heart on his sleeve — or in this case, his shirt — following the news, wearing a T-shirt with a human-like insect sketch on it that read, “What … I feel like s–t,” while filming the movie “Wizards!” in Cairns, Australia on Saturday.
Wearing a trucker hat with the movie’s name on it along with his standout tee, the former “Saturday Night Live” star may have been sending his ex a message in the photo, taken a day after the couple’s split was announced.
A Kardashian insider told Page Six that the pair “decided to just be friends” after nine months of dating.
“They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship,” the source added.
However, their 13-year age difference was also said to be a huge contributing factor to the breakup.
“Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment,” another source told Page Six, adding the comedian “is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice.”
“But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy,” the source said. “She needs to focus on the kids.”
The insider also said the “Kardashians” star was “totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.”
It doesn’t seem as if the breakup was expected, as Davidson had recently added several tattoo tributes to his girlfriend — and her kids — to his ever-growing collection of ink, including one that says “My girl is a lawyer.”
Although the funny man might be feeling “like sh—t” right now, we have a feeling he’ll be doing fine in the romance department soon enough.
