In my 20 years, I’ve been expelled from school 15 times, nearly died so many times I’ve lost count, been through literal hell, watched a bunch of my friends die, etc, etc, etc. Only in the past couple of years has my life even BEGUN to be marginally normal. I turned down immortality because I wanted to live a normal life with the woman I loved. So imagine my confusion when I found myself lying on the floor of the Olympian throne-room, dressed in a chiton, with a mouth full of nectar.
Turns out, there’s a new threat the gods need me to take care of: Chaos. What’s worse, it’s so powerful, they had to turn me into a god to even have a chance of taking it down.
And more bad news: Annabeth’s dead.

Percy Jackson wasn't okay. People noticed, of course, but they thought he needed time and space to come to them and ask for help. It becomes painfully obvious that things were more serious than they thought when Percy does a suicide attempt.
This is the aftermath.
He'll need to learn how to heal. He's not alone, though. Percy will learn in the process of healing that he is very, very loved.
