Recap

Four young people are partying at a graveyard. The next day, one screams for help, yelling it was the Boo Hag.

Will called Percy for info on Antonio Miranda, who leads a quiet life. Percy also got Will his uncle's contact info. When Percy brings up an old foster dad named Jack, Will has more memories and rushes Percy out the door.

At work, Amanda informs Will and Faith about an abduction in Mathis. Will doesn't believe in Boo Hags, but Faith insists it's a spirit that drains souls. Amanda wants them to arrest a real person.

Michael is excited about his and Angie's new case since they're investigating the death of Margarita Royale, one of the Ex-Wives of Atlanta. A valet has info that might prove it's murder.

The witness, Bradley, tells Faith and Will how he and his friends celebrated Alex and Nicole getting into Chapel Hill.  He describes what the Boo Hag looked like, and Faith assured him they would get answers.

The Sherrif admits that whenever a person goes missing, the Boo Hag theory latches onto it.

Faith goes over her notes that the Boo Hag grabbed the three young people when Nicole went to pee behind a tree and screamed for help. This is interspersed with Will having more traumatic flashbacks. Will tells her to stop because he thinks Bradley is a suspect and doesn't believe in these hocus-pocus spirits.

She gets angry because these Gullah-Geechee myths are a part of her culture. He apologizes for disrespecting it but maintains that alcohol and darkness can make a bush look like a monster, to which she agrees.

As they hunt for evidence, she finds fake grass, and Will thinks the culprit is smart, but they rushed the clean-up. Will heard a noise, saying save me and something grabbed his arm.

RG tells them they tried to fight the Boo Hag, but it was too strong. He also mentions that he fell, and the Boo Hag and the witch must not have seen him.

While Will is skeptical, the Sherrif confirms a Geechee woman named Erica Goodwine practices Hoodoo in town, and they should talk to her.

Erica is bitter that they're questioning her because she's the last Geechee woman in Mathis, she’s the root of all evil. She's not upset Nicole and Alex are missing since those young people always drink and disrespect her ancestors' gravesites.

Her alibi is weak for Friday night, and when Will wants to leave a deputy there, she hexes him.

As Michael and Angie watch footage of the show, Angie decides they need to interview the ladies and see what they are like in real life. They were just as catty, and everyone had an issue with Margarita.

As Amanda checks in with Will and Faith, she gets a threatening phone call from an unknown caller but doesn't take it seriously.

In his room, Will rehearses what to say to his uncle. Nico thinks it sounds like a subpoena and offers to draft a version. Faith knocks on the door and congratulates him on the new uncle, commenting that the walls are thin.

She has info about other missing people, saying only one missing person from 2016, Ken Goddard, is unaccounted for. Just then, Luke arrives, who is interested in the case, and seeing Faith. He mentions he has a suite with a shower, and Will reminds them of the thin walls.

Everyone hears a noise the next morning, and dead blackbirds are in the inn's walkway. Will admits it's unusual. The sheriff arrives, and he and Will check out another crime at a farm that's connected, They find the same fake grass there.

Michael and Angie meet the EP of the Ex-Wives at the restaurant where Crystal works. The EP Brett is impressed by what a huge fan Michael is and will help them get justice for Margarita.

Faith learns from Luke that Ken Goddard missed lots of school and used to work with Erica Goodwine. She wonders if he is her accomplice. Will has learned that the Boo Hag is something that haunts them, and they need to learn what haunted Ken and find him quickly.

When Luke rushes out, Faith and Will follow him, thinking he has a lead. As they approach the graveyard, Will has more traumatic flashbacks.

Faith makes him talk, and he admits he wonders if he's going crazy as he reveals he saw his foster dad kill his wife when he was young. Luke finds them, and the trio finds a dead RJ by a gravesite with one of Erica's feathers.

Erica denies killing RJ and says she gave Ken a safe haven when no one else would.

Angie solves Margarita's murder when she realizes that Shanrita pushed her, and they have a recording. Shanrita wanted her to pay, but the woman tried to run even after Angie offered her a deal.

Will and Faith are horrified by what they learn from Ken's medical records and split up. Will confirms he knows Erica never hurt RJ, but he thinks Ken has Alex and needs her help. Faith confronts Bradley about why RJ wants to talk to a journalist.

Will figured out Ken was abused and lived in the cave to be alone, but he saw something that night and healed Nicole and Alex the way Erica taught me. It's disgusting Bradley and RJ tried to rape Nicole, and then RJ wanted to come clean.

Bradley was the actual monster.

In the closing scene, Amanda gets another threat.
