      Kenneth P There are too many gaps and unexplained sequences. It's easy to fill in the gaps but this is a mostly unbelievable and silly movie and a waste of good talent. What Warren Beatty was able to get away with in many scenes were just laughable and I couldn't suspend enough of reality to fully enjoy the movie. Although passable I would pass on this turkey. Great pacing of information and tension-building. The airplane scene in particular was effective. The dam was another really incredible demonstration of suspense, the sheriff twist just as effective. Him being renegade, the complexity that he could go either way made him a really fascinating character. [6/29/22]: A great Warren Beatty performance! I didn't rate it again, but I do really enjoy the paranoid political thriller subgenre and this went a long way in bringing me to that revelation.
