Japan Inn was established in 1990 when founders opened their first location in Plantation, FL. Since then we have been serving an extended variety of Japanese and Thai food including fresh sushi. We had the honor to be named Best Sushi Restaurant in Plantation by Hometown Herald readers.

In 2002 a second location was opened in Weston, FL, and soon enough it was voted Best Japanese Restaurant by “Best of Weston”.

Our third location was opened in Doral, FL during the summer of 2019, and we plan to keep growing to share our food and entertainment with our customers all over South Florida. The Japan Inn Group also owns Kimura Japanese Steak & Seafood located in Boynton Beach, FL.

Unfortunately this was not the Mother’s Day dining experience I had hoped for. For starters, the restaurant was extremely hot and uncomfortable. We sat near the wall that had two thermostats, one showed 83 degrees and the other showed 84 degrees. Second, it took over an hour for our chef to come out to the table. Also took a long time just to get our order placed and get our soup and salad to the table. The chef was nice and entertaining, but he was drenched in sweat because of the heat from the griddle and the 84 degree temp inside the place. Not really the most appetizing thing to see when he’s standing over your food. Due to it being Mother’s Day, we had no option to eat here despite wanting to leave as soon as we walked into the furnace. Don’t think I’ll be back after this. I spent way too much money for a miserable experience.

Always fun to come, family enjoys it! The only thing we noticed today (which is not the norm) was that it was warmer than usual. Other than that, everything came out great.

First time there. Food was good. Place was disgustingly dirty. It wasn’t until I went to use the restroom that I saw how dirty it was. I saw the kitchen, and there is no way this place would pass any kind of sanitary food inspection. If I had seen the restroom area before I sat down at the table, I would’ve walked out.

Went with my family for a first communion celebration. They did a great job having the 12 person table ready on time as well as creating a fun environment for my son. The food and service was spectacular. Thank you for a great evening!

We had a great experience from when we walked into the door to when we paid the check. Our server Cara made my son’s birthday celebration one to remember.

Sat at a hibachi table and had a well-rounded experience with a great animated chef! The food and server were both very good, as was the value received. Plus, the check-in staff was super attentive!!

I cannot out into words how professional the staff is here at the Weston location. They are experts at accommodation and Carol was very patient with us. Was very memorable and we will back!
