The Denver Broncos have waived both center/guard Patrick Morris and offensive tackle Hunter Watts on Saturday.

The Denver Broncos have waived undrafted rookie offensive tackle Hunter Watts. He might be a solid practice squad candidate, but the news on him out of training camp has been very light. He’s either just done his job or hasn’t done anything to stand out.

He’s a big man at 6’7” and 307 pounds with a 35” arm length. While not super athletic, he has the size for the tackle position. He was a solid in pass protection in college, but struggled more against the run.

The Broncos also waived center/guard Patrick Morris. He is a player the team hopes to move over to the practice squad. He was in a strong competition for the backup center job behind rookie Lloyd Cushenberry, but it looks like Austin Schlottman was able to secure that job.

Morris played his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent, but joined the Broncos practice squad the day after he was waived by the Steelers last August. He spent time on the Broncos active roster late in the season.
