If you want to install Passwords Plus on a second device, here’s what you need to do:
Windows or Mac
If the second device is a Windows or Mac computer, first download the app onto that computer from here.
Next, install Passwords Plus and enter in the SAME Master password as you are using on your first device. Then log into your Sync account using your sync settings (email address and Sync ID) that you are using on the first device. The sync setting can be found in Passwords Plus under Settings and then Sync settings. To turn the trial into a full working copy:
For Windows: you can use the serial number from when you purchased your first Windows device. If your first device was NOT Windows, you will have to purchase a license from inside the app by clicking “Buy or Activate”.
For Mac: If you already purchased a Mac license through the Mac App store, the trial should automatically turn into a full working copy. You need to be logged into the Mac App store with the same Apple ID as when you first purchased the Mac app. Note: Mac purchases are separate from iOS purchases so you need to purchase once for Mac and once for iOS if you want to use Passwords Plus on both.
iOS or Android
Install Passwords Plus trial from the App store for iOS or Google Play for Passwords Plus.
Log in with the same sync settings you have been using (which can be found in Sync Settings on your first device). Enter in the same Master Password.
If you see a message similar to this:
The password database could not be located. We have restored the database to default settings. If you have moved or renamed your database, you can restore your information by selecting File-Restore and navigating to the database file.
This is most likely caused by another app (most often OneDrive) moving the Passwords Plus CS folder out of the documents folder and into the cloud. When the app then goes to sync, it can’t find the data. To fix this you need to uninstall and reinstall the app so that everything is put back where it belongs.
In order to do this, you will need to know your email address and Sync ID so you can log back into your sync account to get your data back.

OS 10.9 or higher

9 and higher
Android

This is rare but if it does happen, it means that the database on your phone has been corrupted and needs to be redownloaded from the secure cloud. If you haven’t set up SamePage sync and don’t have your data in the secure cloud, contact us here. If you do have a sync account set up, it is relatively easy to get back up and running:
Once you enter in the sync settings, Passwords Plus will sync and your data will come from the secure cloud onto your device.
This is a display problem we have on certain High Resolution Windows devices. Here are the steps needed to fix this problem:
1. Go to the Desktop
2. Right click on the Passwords Plus shortcut or Passwords Plus.exe*
3. Click “Properties”
4. Click “Compatibility” at the top of the “Passwords Plus Properties” window
5. Click “Change high DPI settings”
6. At the bottom, check off “Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:”
7. Now click the drop down menu right below and click “System”
8. Click “OK”
9. Click “Apply” then either “OK” or close the window
You should now be able to choose categories the next time you open Passwords Plus.
* If you do not have a shortcut, go to Windows Explorer (the File Manager). Now go to (C:\Program Files (x86)\Passwords Plus CS.) Then go to PasswordsPlus.exe and right click on it, where “Properties” should show up.
To change your Master Password for Passwords Plus it is best to do it when you have all of your Password Plus enabled devices accessible.
Start by going to settings in Passwords Plus and choosing the “Change Master Password” option in the “Security” section. Type in your new password.
If you also use Passwords Plus on another device, the next step should be to open Passwords Plus on that device.
Because Passwords Plus has not yet synced your new Master Password onto your other device, when first prompted for your password you should type in the old password.
Once entering the old password, Passwords Plus will log in long enough to sync and then will again prompt you for your Master Password, which will be your new Master Password that you have just created.
If the old password does not work when entered into the new device, try the new password.
After this, your password has been fully reset and your new Master Password will be the only one that works with your devices.
On iOS and Android
First, go to: Passwords Plus/Settings/Manage Categories
There you can:
On Mac and Windows
To to the Tools menu at the top of the screen (on Mac) or the Settings menu (Windows) and then go to Edit Categories. From there you can:
You can only create a backup on the MacOS and Windows versions of Passwords Plus. To make a backup file you can log in into the program. IF you are on windows after you enter your master password into Passwords Plus, click on File > backup. This will prompt you to select a save location. Pick some location that you will be able to find again. On Mac, you will need to open Passwords plus with your Master Password and then select Tools > backup located in the menu at the top of the screen. You should save the file somewhere that you would be able to find again.
On MacOS, iOS, and Android, Passwords Plus is updated via your devices app store. If you believe that your version may not be up to date, check the updates section of the application store that you downloaded Passwords Plus from.
On Windows, Passwords Plus is not sold from an app store. Therefore the only way to update Passwords Plus is to download the latest version of Passwords Plus. So long as you have a version above 1.003 your data should transfer automatically to the newer version of the Passwords Plus. If you have a version newer than 2.00 you will need your sync ID, email, and password to sign in. If you are upgrading from an older version than 2.00 you will only need to enter the same Master Password. You will be prompted to create the same page sync account. Click here to download the installer.
If your version of windows is older than 1.003
Passwords Plus does not have a printing feature directly, but you can export a copy of your Passwords to a .csv file if you are using either the Windows or MacOS version of Passwords Plus. A .csv file is an unencrypted version of Passwords Plus that can be opened in Excel. Once you open the file in Excel you should be able to edit it to a format that you find appropriate and print it from there. If you have the iOS or Android version of Passwords Plus, you will need to download either the Windows or MacOS version of Passwords Plus to print your database. Remember to delete the .csv file afterward since it is not a secure file.
