Reviews
- Dutch most famous guitarist of all time is the mid-seventies even a while the best guitarist in the world, so impressed show the readers of the magazine Guitar Player himself by his flashy solos in Hocus Pocus and Sylvia, both of the band Focus. In his homeland had Aa previously immortalized by his playing in bands such as Brainbox and The Hunters. With the latter band, he scored a major national hit, with it to his lightning-fast riff hung Russian Spy And i. But Aa is there the man not to long to reflect on past successes. In various formations, he explores the possibilities of his instrument and he brings mergers between different genres. Whether it's a blues album with André Hazes or a dance project with Roland molendijk, Jan Akkerman continues to prove to be a quirky instrumentalist who merely on his own instinct and taste trust.
