- Hobo56Greater Sydney, Australia382 contributionsWell, in the middle of the Archipelago what do you find but an outstanding collection of work by Salvador Dali. The museum is located above a bank in the local shopping area. The obvious highlight of our visit was the outstanding tour conducted by the owner of the exhibition. The tour was included in the exhibition entrance charge. This is a small museum that caters for fans of Dali or those new to his art. Definitely worth a visit if you are out this way.Written July 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Henna MikkiläTallinn, Estonia389 contributionsThis is a place very few people outside Parainen / Pargas has visited. It's really impressive hole in the ground, which digging was starting somewhere in the end of 19th century. We had a good guide and I think the place was definitely worth seeing.Written August 23, 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - saronicZurich, Switzerland28,429 contributionsThe Turku Archipelago is said to have the most islands of any archipelago on earth, about 20'000. One of the most interesting to visit is the island of Seili (Själö in Swedish), not only for its lovely nature, but also for its interesting history. There are no cars here, so it makes for a great walk of 1,3km from Post Pier to Church Pier, thus from end to the other.
The easiest way to visit the island is by taking a motorboat in Nagu, a trip of about 20 minutes. Arrival is at Post Pier. The walk from here goes past a few farmhouses and meadows with cows. On the way are information boards about plants that grow wild. I was surprised by the many hazel trees.
After 900m one arrives at the island's largest building, now housing the Archipelago Research Institute of the University of Turku. A small museum gives informations about nature, but also tells about the time (till 1962), when in here was located a well known Mental Asylum. Before, from 1619 till 1785, Seili was known as Southern Finland's only leper colony.
In this building - besides the institute and the museum - is now also a restaurant, open only in summer, with a big outdoor area, where lunches in self service are offered. From here one can continue walking for about 200m to the 18th century wooden church, where guided tours are offered (only way to visit it). Not far from here, around Church Pier, is one of the most beautiful parts of Seili. From here one has to go back the same distance to catch the motorboat back to Nagu at Post Pier.Written October 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The cave was born as the boulders were removed from the granite rock by the continental glacier during the ice age.
This vast and damp cave is haunted by the spirit of a little girl. Back in the 19th century, when many wolves lived and roamed the island of Nagu, the animals also stayed in the Klockarbergen cave. It is said that this young girl was one of the unlucky victims of the beasts.Written August 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mikael FHelsinki, Finland31,291 contributionsNagu is a lively archipelago community where lives around 1500 inhabitants all year round. During the summer this number increases a lot because many summer guests want to visit Nagu and this lovely marina with their sailing boats.
Nagu guest harbor is one of the most visited harbors in Pargas' archipelago during summer. Here you find guest harbor service, plenty of restaurants, small shops, and tourist information.Written August 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
