Todd Gilchrist Variety As a thoughtful chronicle of the ups and downs of her life, Ryan White’s film plays slightly as a retread that amplifies the public’s love story with redemption arcs more than it offers anything that has not already been revealed to the world. Feb 13, 2023 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) She's a consequential figure, and this movie tells us why. Feb 10, 2023 Full Review Camilla Long Times (UK) ... A show about life after being a sex symbol, and it is riveting. Feb 6, 2023 Full Review Erik Childress Movie Madness Podcast Having Anderson tell her story helps give the film a balance between the self-imposed fame and some of the later hypocrisies in her brushes with and support of invaded privacy that results in a better personal doc than a fully introspective one. Rated: 3/4 Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Jillian Chilingerian Offscreen Central Although her story is tragic, Pamela Anderson and Ryan White bring a sense of romance to her recap that feels like an exercise in meditation and a tale of ownership rather than a documentary. Jul 25, 2023 Full Review Matt Pais MattPais.com When a person’s career has been defined by surface-level sensationalism, you’d think that the goal here would be clarity. Grizzly C Absolutely garbage and no surprise as it is about Pamela Anderson. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review Ben N Pamela is one of many bio-pic films or short series to come out this year. I get a vibe of truth and honesty to the narrative from Pamela. There is obviously a need to control the narrative, which we all feel. But we mostly just get Pamela, her story, from her perspective, and that is compelling. Tommy Lee would need to give his own perspective, and he seems contrite. I really respect Pamela's strength to hold to her own resolve. I wish she'd been strong enough as a youth - it's daunting to think of the people that sought to influence her as a teen to their own profit. She has a positive soul that seeks love, and it's tragic to feel that her love belongs to someone who hurt her. Bottom line, money doesn't solve emotional issues. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/01/23 Full Review Views Of C Pamela, A Love Story - 10/10. What a wonderful surprise of a documentary this was! Pamela, A Love Story chronicles the life of Pamela, told from her perspective. And it makes me think about how much this lovely and warm individual had to go through. She had dreams and wants in life, but sadly couldn't do all of what she wanted due to the caricaturing of her personal life. You can tell from her pain and stories that she has gone through so much. But even through that pain and sorrow, she still has a smile and jovial energy to her. She is such a great person, as you can tell by her activism, writing, love of love, and overall demeanour. She deserves the world, and I hope people watch this doc and change their view of her and see the great person she really is! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/23 Full Review Wnedi M We've not lived the same life, but we have the same heart. Who knew?? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/02/23 Full Review Pallavi J Its such a brilliant documentary about a powerful woman who was objectified but never gave up her strength.pamela anderson is so beautiful in and out.her no makeup appearance shows how lovely and down to earth she is.her kids are wonderful supporters of thr super mom...must watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review Cecily A Honest, sincere and thought provoking. The audience got a bare-bones look into Pamela's life and got to see her travel from innocence to the darkest depths of Hollywood through love scandals, public scrutiny and then back to her best self. A must see for all women who are in their lives prime, like myself. I went through every range of emotion. I laughed, cried, got angry, screamed, got emotional, was sad and cheered. Well done!!!!!
