- ChrisMcG170Hastings, UK204 contributionsWhat a lovely old building, we visited here whilst up seeing relatives in Paisley. It's right in the heart of the town centre and easy to get too.Written May 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sharon GDarvel, Scotland, United Kingdom158 contributionsWent to the reopening night. Looks and feels stunning. Gorgeous venue, incredible accoustics. We heard Scottish Opera with a live orchestra
Would go here anytime and for pretty much anything.
Service at the Bar was a bit slow and disorganised, but in their defence it was opening night. More choices for children at the wee kiosk would have been good. Felt like an afterthought and someone had nipped over to the local newsagents for a couple of bags of sweets. Some really nice ice cream at the kiosk would have been a treat, or hot chocolate or something without caffeine in it for the weans on the bar in the hot drinks menu.
Will be watching who will be coming to this amazing venue and be back for more.Written December 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lucky weather wise, we strolled up the path on the Glasgow Road side and around to the walled garden, before heading down towards the loch. There was what appeared to be the remains of a Children’s Railway about halfway down the hill - whether or not it still operates is beyond me.
Anyway, the loch was small but plenty of birds (mainly Swans) around to entertain the kids. We popped into the park for half an hour - divided into two areas (adventure and play). A decent park overall - I expect it’ll be a lot busier in a couple of months time.
I’ve written a separate review on the Cafe. However, an enjoyable 2-3 hours spent at Barshaw (Strava clocked the walk around 2km, if following the outer paths).Written May 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It houses a good exhibition on the history of the town then a fine display of Paisley shawls with their stunning patterns and colours. There was an amazing exhibition on about seismic activity when I was there - think it must have been a link up with the Coates Observatory which is very nearby. Could have sat and watched and listened to this for ages noting the Earth's seismic activities across the globe! All free too!!Written March 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

When I was young played in the park ,as u walked thru gates few steps took u up to the beautiful arrangement of flowers . Lot of rubbish lying around bins overflowing , council need to make sure this park doesn't become a dumping groundWritten August 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - macSouthamptonSouthampton, UK46 contributionsI had the opportunity to stay in an apartment opposite this beautiful statue, it was also lovely to listen to the chimes of the clock coming from the Town Hall.Written January 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scottish-Hidden-Gems🏴💎Ayrshire, UK6,963 contributionsRight in the centre of a junction, sits this plaque but its very difficult to view up close unless you drive over it.
This is meant to warn other witches to keep away from paisley but unfortunately this is not the original, as it mysteriously disappeared over night. Many locals believe the curse came true when it disappeared but it has been replaced by this lovely plaque with a horseshoe by sandy stoddart.
The real witches memorial sits on gallows green at the west end of paisley, where the last ever mass witches execution happened in western Europe. Worth a wee look just don't get run over!Written August 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While the airport flows reasonably well, you still end up in the large waiting area pending your take-off gate being announced.
Oh dear! This is such a soulless depressing place to be stuck in for an hour or two.Written October 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
