Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This little gem allows you to get up close with some amazing creatures. The knowledgeable and passionate staff are a real pleasure to listen to and speak with.
We so thoroughly enjoyed the Owl Experience with Nigel getting to feed and fly Barn Owl, Burrowing Owls and a Long Eared Owl. The Wild Encounter with Raccoons, Meerkats and Wallabies was fantastic too.
There are loads of other things to see too, including flying displays, insects and reptiles.

    We’re already planning return visit!!

    Thanks for a brilliant day!

This was our first ever visit to the Pendon museum and recommended by a friend. Set in a small country village near Oxford. What a wonderful little museum of large model railways and miniature villages. The attention to detail of the displays is breathtaking and has to be seen to appreciate it. Excellent for all ages. Run by very friendly and informative volunteers. Must be one of the finest and largest model railway scenes in the country. Parking just outside the entrance. Around £7 per adult entrance fee which is very reasonable we thought. Allow up to 2 hours for the visit and the step back in time to the 1920s and 30s. Highly recommend for all the family.

Excellent free local history and geology museum in listed building in central Abingdon. Staff welcoming and very informative. Amazing views and information audios from the rooftop (£2 charge). For petrol heads the museum has a fascinating video re the MG factory originally based in Abingdon and an immaculate example of an MGB sports car and other automobilia.

Had a relaxed walk in these great gardens with a variety of things to see, not least the stunning weir and the fabulous children's play area.

We visited yesterday and was really impressed with the tap room. Great prices and a great range of drinks available. Staff were friendly and the brewery is also dog friendly!

We walked from Abingdon and took in Abingdon Lock on the way. The paths were gravelled so it wasn't too muddy after the recent rain. Plenty of birdlife to watch.

Had a great time here with the owners, a lovely couple who are clearly very keen on the world of wine.

Utterly different to any vineyard we've visited before, and rather refreshing. The hosts were very honest about how they manage the place, their goals and their passion for it.

    Absolutely worth a visit.

Wonderful to "call in" and immediately feel at home. Spent time enjoying memorabilia and the history we know well being MG buffs. Don't forget to sign the visitors book....

Had a nice walk around the gardens and along the canal. Loved the ruins and flowers. Free parking for an hour in abbey close. Toilets and a play park for children.

Bravo to the marketing department for making it compulsory to walk through the toy shop to get to the exit. Just what every parent on a budget needs. Play area is fantastic. Food ok, nothing to write home about. Does what it says on the tin.

We wandered this spot for a stroll while passing through Abingdon, well kept and a pretty quiet spot when we were there. The ruins made for some nice photos.
