All hell breaks loose in this riveting story when a group of former outlaws with bad attitudes teams up to catch a killer with murder and revenge on his mind. After Tobey(Jennings), a retired member of the group, is brutally gunned down by a former member and killer, Clinton Reese, our band of reformed gunslingers, Lee (Nelson, Tarence (Kristofferson), and Dalton (Tritt), sets out on Clinton's Trail. They are joined by Tobeys reluctatant young son Bryce (Willett).

An outlaw (Sancho Gracia) murders one of his old partners (Waylon Jennings), prompting the victim’s son (Chad Willett) and the other retired gang members (Kris Kristofferson & Willie Nelson) to seek revenge. Along the way the motley crew will pick up a former member turned sheriff (Travis Tritt) – prompting the question: why didn’t they cast an up-and-coming country star in the role of the young blood?
Outlaw Justice / The Long Kill (1999) was filmed in Almería – bringing the Spaghetti location sheen, though the tech side features a high number of Canadian DTV crew. Kristofferson and Nelson have co-starred so often that their chemistry remains the effortless highlight, even if this later offering leans heavily on them smugly reminding…

Every frame screams "cheap tv movie". It's predictable, slow, and not very interesting. Introduces then totally drops characters. And bad dubbing.

Most of you guys should just take a pass on this one. It’s corny, formulaic and has every western cliche in the book. It was a “made for TV” movie and it shows. The only real thing it has going for it are the personalities of Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. If you like either or both of them, watch it for that but don’t go into it with high expectations as it relates to directing, dialogue, editing….that kind of thing! It was really not very good but I’m a dunderhead and I kind of liked it.

"It looks like it's going to be a pretty good day after all."
After their friend is murdered, two elderly outlaws ride for revenge. Direct to cable quality with solid entertainment for fans of westerns and Outlaw Country. Kristofferson and Nelson are great and their chemistry together is super fun. A fine pick for a Saturday afternoon at Paw Paw's.

This movie is not some super well-scripted thing that makes you rethink life's meaning.
It's pure entertainment. Nothing unexpected. But I had a great time watching it.
And I'm a big fan of Kristofferson's music, so maybe, just maybe, that makes my review tilt a bit more to one side.

I plucked this DVD out of the $5 bin once upon a time. Though I'd watched and reviewed it already, I can't be sure of the date so I decided to revisit it tonight as part of my library audit. It's just as cliched and generic as I remembered it being. There are, however, three pluses:
1) Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson - If you're not a fan of at least one of these two, there's no reason to even bother with the movie. Without them, I give this movie one star at best. If, however, like me you are a fan of theirs, it's kinda fun to watch their chemistry and senses of humor.
2) The score by Jay…

Alright, hear me out. Not nearly as bad as I expected, and dare I say one of Willie’s better performances? But then again, we can attribute that to the fact he wasn’t given as many lines. But lowkey I actually think this could be a fire remake.

Outlaw Kill aka Outlaw Justice aka The Long Kill
Relativ trashiger Western, der großen Spaß macht, auch wenn das Schauspiel eher nicht so zu überzeugen weiß. Alles ist irgendwie hölzern und damit meine ich nicht die Westernstädte, doch das macht irgendwie gar nichts, da man einfach nur gut unterhalten wird und das ganz ohne den heute üblichen Actionabriss, indem eben jene hölzernen Städte nicht selten komplett niedergebrannt werden oder sonst was. Wer mal einen eher leichten Western bevorzugt, kann hier mit 'nem zugedrückten Auge ein kleines Juwel finden.
