- For fans of the Westcoast, Pablo Cruise is undoubtedly a fundamental step. I won't stop to pass judgments and/or opinions about the beauty or otherwise of the various albums (which is subjective, as everyone will have their favorite albums, not necessarily the same as another). I want to underline the imprecise aspect of the artwork. In fact, on the disc the lightscribe is decentralized to the point of questionable. In addition to appearing fake. Fortunately not in this case.
the universal music.co jp series called
Golden Era Of Rock Continued (1976-1985). Japanese CD reissue series. All titles were limited editions, has reprinted many interesting editions in economical versions, leaving excellent hopes of being able to collect difficult-to-find titles, in excellent recordings without the unattainable prices of shm. However, the minimal attention penalizes somewhat the great effort of the project which would be an example for other labels. So excellent editions just remade without too much care. - Edited one year agoThis is the final studio album from Pablo Cruise, and honestly, this album is pretty average. I can't say that it is anything all too remarkable, though it doesn't really need to be. The material on here isn't bad, I wouldn't even say that it isn't good. I enjoyed it personally, as it's got enough energy and I can't say any of the album really struck me as an track I would detest. The album definitely starts off quite strong with the track "Will You, Won't You", and generally keeps that kind of energy, it's honestly a good test as to if you'll like the sound of the album. The first side is decently strong (if you like this kinda genre of music), and the second also starts strong too, with the title track "Out of Our Hands".
None of the other tracks that are here really struck me as "good" or "bad", and that may be the album's true weakness. I enjoyed it, but it's nothing truly special other than being their final album. The album generally has a more poppy sound, though that's not exactly out of the group's ballpark since they were never a hard rocking group. I don't want to use the word "mediocre", as that tends to mean that it's easily passed off as not worth your time. I believe that if you enjoy this genre this album would be worth a try, but if don't then you can pass on it.
This being only the second time this album got released on CD, it may be worth a pickup if you enjoy Pablo Cruise. The SHM-CD is too expensive for how much people want for it second-hand, and for an album like this it's not really worh spending upwards of $60 unless this is your one true favorite group.
Comparing rips of this and the SHM-CD (https://www.discogs.com/release/8729000-Pablo-Cruise-Out-Of-Our-Hands ), this edition is mathematically identical to it. It sounds good, like it was taken from a master tape of some kind. No overbearing hiss, bass or sibilance, no overbearing dynamic range compression, and the music barely goes above the -5dB mark when analyzing the waveform. Save your money, this version is the recommended one if you're interested in getting this album on CD. - Edited one year ago

This SHM-CD of Out Of Our Hands sounds absolutely awful. It was probably taken from vinyl. There is a also FLAC download available that is identical to the SHM-CD.
