Otis Redding – Otis Blue / Otis Redding Sings Soul

My copy plays great, better than stereo versions and overall a incredible sound.

Super nice reissue of this essential soul album. I've never heard Otis Soul sound so good!

the mix is odd here and there as mentioned - particularly the vocal panning but if you just get into the music it is ace... otis is on fire and the quality of the sound on the pressing is really good.

Ive been digging around and listening to alot of versions of this album for decades. Probably an all timer for me. This press is the best press for the money. Hands down.

This is amongst the worst sounding record I have in my collection

A1 and A5 are skipping on my copy. Really disappointed.

Got an exact same copy of this but with the difference that the label is printed on the wrong side. Tracklist of Side A has 6 tracks while Tracklist of Side B has 5, which doesn't correspond to the number of songs printed on each side.

Sounds great, looks great (I've always had pretty good luck with clear vinyl), and no skip on my copy. I'm guessing those experiencing a skip, might be doing so on a lesser turntable. Anyway, if you've been waiting to add this to your collection, or just discovered this classic album, this is a great pressing to pull the trigger on. The mono sounds fabulous! No complaints whatsoever.

No problems to report here: record is flat, centered, noise-free and, most importantly, it doesn't skip.
As for the sound, i have nothing to compare as i have been hunting an OG for years, but this mono press is punchy, warm, loud (in a good way) so, no complaints here, especially for the price i got it!

As for the unfortunate ones who got a bad copy: since it seems to be a 50/50 situation, i'd advise to try another copy as they are out there (i got a good one on my 1st try when, usually, it takes me 2 or 3 tries to get a perfect copy these days);
Also, even though we're not on an audiophile forum, i would also advise everyone to add their gear on their profile and, if they encounter skipping problems, to inform us about their aligning and weight process so we can figure out if it's really coming from the pressing or something else like someone has already pointed out...

This pressing is impeccable, listening to it. I thought it was stereo. No skips. Perfect copy. Lots of dynamic range And just being a pain in the @&$@ with every one on this app are probably listening on a cheap Crossley
