Each year one of the highlights of the spring is ArtSplash, the district-wide art show. The opening night of ArtSplash will be held on Friday, May 17. The student artwork will be on display May 17 - June 9, at the Orchard Park Public Library, located at 4570 South Buffalo Street in Orchard Park. ArtSplash provides an opportunity for Orchard Park students in elementary, middle, and high school to showcase their talents and passion for creativity in an authentic presentation. It is a true collaboration between the school district and the community. The district is proud of our students and our outstanding art teachers who help and guide students to realize their creative potential regardless of their career aspirations.
On Tuesday, October 24, the OPHS Business Department “rang the bell” to officially launch Quaker Wall Street, the new stock ticker displayed in the first floor hallway of the high school.

Mrs. Feeley's COPS class (Crime or Punishment in Society) recently toured the NY State Unified Court System in downtown Buffalo. Students viewed the City Court Lockup Facility and heard from the Case Manager of the DWI court. The class also viewed Criminal Arraignments and visited Family Court. Judges, Court Officers, Court Reporters, and Attorneys all shared information about their legal careers and answered student questions. It was an educational and exciting day!
The Orchard Park Central School District, along with Erie 2 BOCES, has joined with Sandy Hook Promise to deploy an anonymous reporting system as an additional layer to our school district safety plan. Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to end school shootings and create a culture change that prevents violence and other harmful acts that hurt children. Through its life-saving, evidence-informed Know the Signs prevention programs, SHP educates and empowers youth and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others.
