Have the been any local news on either border closures (e.g. Israel, Japan) and/or additional testing/restrictions because of new COVID variant?

A few minutes ago nice declarations by Our President and Dr Daniel Salas health Secretary of Costa Rica...regarding Omnicron ...
We are not closing our borders as mentioned today at 12 noon Nove 30th 2021
We are getting 500.000 more Pfizer doses from Spain to start the vaccination of 58 Years old and up people
