It is the same virus (just with a few variations), and we know how to live with it - nothing on the tracking sites this morning for DR. It is still unclear if the Omicron variant is more transmissible than Delta (which was more transmissible than Alpha and much more transmissible than COVID 'classic' :-), if it causes more severe disease and if the current vaccine regimes are as effective in protecting. We will have a clearer picture in the next few weeks so we can base additional actions, if required, on evidence and not knee jerk.

Wear your mask, clean your hands, maintain physical distancing when able, an know that all passengers on your flight are fully immunized. All great risk mitigation strategies that will help keep you safe. And you'll be in a place where you can be outside which is way better than inside :-)

Enjoy and stay safe

New requirements now coming back to Canada. You will be tested at airport and have to quarantine (at home or where you can be isolated) until results come back

South-Africa already reported, the Omicron is milder than Delta, so nothing to worry about... If these viruses exist at all, thats whole another question...

A really important not to keep in mind is that Canada is the only (or among very few) that require a vaccination to board a plane.

We will be in a resort with unvaccinated guests.

So important to social distance even more now!!!

Yikes, I didn't realize this at time of booking.
