Scene…The American Cancer Society’s 10th annual Women Leading the Way to Wellness luncheon takes place at 11 a.m. May 15 at The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa honoring Dr. Madhavi Raghu, radiologist and breast imaging specialist at Connecticut Breast Imaging, and Dr. Shieva Ghofrany, an obstetrician-gynecologist with Coastal Obstetrics & Gynecology in Stamford, ovarian cancer survivor and last year’s keynote speaker. French American actress, author and Give an Hour Ambassador Stéphanie Szostak and New York Times bestselling self-help author and spiritual coach Gabrielle “Gabby” Bernstein will serve as this year’s keynote speakers. Scene… Wilton resident and best-selling author Camille Aubray’s new book “The Girl from The Grand Hotel” is being released for sale on Tuesday. Aubray, who also penned “Cooking for Picasso” and “Godmothers,” has received rave reviews from fellow writers Kristin Hannah, Fiona Davis, and Jacques Pepin on her latest novel, which was inspired by true events and set against the luxurious backdrop of the Côte d’Azur on the brink of war and the first Cannes Film Festival.

Scene…Residents of Rye, N.Y. may spot a celebrity or two this Monday as actors Jon Hamm, Olivia Munn and Amanda Peet are expected to be on site filming the upcoming Apple Studios LLC series “Swipe” on Purchase Street and Purdy Avenue. The show will air this December.

Out there… Actor John Ratzenberger, who portrayed Cliff Clavin on the popular TV sitcom “Cheers” sold his waterfront home in Milford this month for $1.67 million. Ratzenberger has been very involved in the town and served as keynote speaker for the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Awards of Distinction ceremony. as well as chaired the Milford United Way's campaign.
