Los Angeles, CA – In a challenging encounter, the Occidental men's tennis team squared off against the formidable Claremont-Mudd-Scripps squad.  Despite putting up a spirited effort, Oxy ultimately faced a tough defeat against the nationally top-ranked team with a final score of 8-1.

The doubles matches set the stage for the intense competition ahead.  Brett Miller and Dhruv Verma delivered a standout performance at the number two spot, securing a decisive 8-3 victory over their CMS counterparts.  The score was tied at 1-1 with the last doubles match still going.  All eyes turned to court three to see who would have the advantage going into singles.  Dennis Isak and Benjamin Burrows were locked with their opponents at 6-6, but CMS turned it up to edge Oxy with a final score of 8-6.

In the singles portion of the match, CMS swept all courts.  Miller put on a good fight in his second set with a score of 6-4.
