New York: Simon and Schuster, 1959. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. 151 pages. Avedon's landmark first book, a collaboration with Capote who supplies the text. A striking collection of full-bleed black and white images. A clean very near fine copy in paper covered boards in a very good acetate dust jacket with some large chips/chunks missing and in a near fine slipcase with some light wear. Still a much nicer than usual copy of a book that is inherently fragile. (Roth 148-149).
