Oakton High School Reviews
Rating 3.71 out of 5 526 reviews
My time here at Oakton High School has been a great experience. I've had the chance to meet people and make friends of all ethnicity, teachers and staff are among the best I've been taught by, and the environment is always one that welcomes all sorts of mindsets and ideas with no discrimination whatsoever.
Since Oakton High School has been newly renovated, many of it’s facilities (especially in the science department) are good quality. Overall, I like my experience and love the teachers that I had/have.
I started my experience at Oakton my freshman year, but was connected to the school before that through my older brother. After the rennovations from my brother's time, the school has changed a lot for the better. The campus is pretty, and through my involvement in sports I have had firsthand experience with the administration and how they handle tough situations. Overall most situations are handled somewhat proffessionally, if not a bit slowly, but in the future I would like to see situations addressed quicker. The school has a tendency to not tell students and parents about issues going on within the community until months later, and send emails to people the emails are not meant to be sent to. I love the community at Oakton, but I believe the administration needs to do a better job of keeping private information private.
