What girl in her right mind would ever break hottie Nick Jonas' heart? Apparently, more than one has. In an exclusive interview with Seventeen.com, Nick revealed that his new song "Numb"—which just dropped today—is about a couple of past relationships that left him heartbroken.
"I relate it to a couple of different situations I've had where someone left me so high and dry that I felt numb," he said.
The heart-wrenching single describes the feeling you get when someone you love betrays you, but its cool beat makes it totally worthy of your girls' night playlist, too. Nick wanted to make a track that felt real and described his feelings but still was upbeat enough to not be a total downer.
"I wrote this song with Mike Posner—a really talented composer himself—and we were talking about things that were important to me to put on the record," he said. "I feel like this song was really the kind of emotional center of the album while still having that good beat and good vibe. It still has a lot to say and it's one of my favorites."
Now every time we hear the amazing new track, we'll wonder who broke Nick's poor heart. We'd never break your heart, Nick!
