Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui joined Bayern Munich after a long absence due to complications from his Covid-19 infection.
Mazraoui appeared in the Bavarian’s training this Friday morning, where he was received by his colleagues and the technical staff with applause in support of his awaited return to match fitness.
According to German media reports, the Moroccan defender did not train collectively, and contented himself with some exercises in the team’s sports hall in order to restore his rhythm, provided that the date of his participation in the first team’s training is determined after conducting some medical examinations to determine the extent of his response to treatment.
Mazraoui had heart problems after contracting coronavirus, as he was exposed to pericarditis, which requires complete recovery before returning to the atmosphere of competition with Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich had signed Portuguese Joao Cancelo on loan from Manchester City, during the last winter transfer period, in order to fill Mazraoui’s long absence due to illness.
