My experience at Port Huron Northern has been great, with my teachers and other students helping me prepare for the next level, as well as my guidance counselor finding me scholarship sites, like Niche. the curriculum is filling as well as the help you receive if you want it, as the teachers want you to succeed as much as anybody.
Port Huron Northern is an alright school. I feel that there are many ways it could improve the opportunities it gives students, at least when I was there. I did feel like the school did it's best to support low income students by providing free lunch to all students, and subsidizing funds for club activities and AP tests.
I graduated Port Huron Northern class of 2023 and I loved all 4 years I attended. I was involved in multiple activities/clubs including Drama, Choir, Diversity Club, LEAD Team, Tree Club, Student Council, NHS and more and the advice I would give to other students would be to get involved. I have formed a lot of relationships with the students and faculty that will last a lifetime. The AP classes were also taught very well and the teachers were so amazing and understanding. I am so glad I went to PHN!
