What travelers are saying
- 1xPlorWorld138 contributionsI love this place. There are a group of local Thai people cook and sell homemade style food every saturday and sunday. Their food are cheap but taste so good. If you're craving for some Thai Food, you should come and check this place out. Plus, this place is Buddhist temple. I like to go on weekend for food and take a chance to go pray. There are a lot of Buddhist statues both inside and outside the temple (big, small, colorful, peaceful, and spiritual). I rarely to give 5 stars but I would recommend this place. I'm not talking about fancy, luxury, expensive place to eat but a place to appreciate the life, to appreciate what you have. You spend little but you gain so much and that's what you start to realize after all the money we been spending at fancy restaurant and resort, we miss out the best side of life at the corner. Give yourself a try and thanks me later :)Written December 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 5ft17Los Angeles, CA127 contributionsWent to 2 places there, the Federal Bar (great food, poor service) for a pre-show snack and brewski, then to the El Portal Theatre across the side street for a music act (Orchestre Surreal -- look them up!). Closest parking I could find was a 5-minute walk. And I walk fast. And that was on a Thursday evening. Lyft/Uber probably a good option.Written November 15, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Aditya ALos Angeles, CA63 contributionsReally cool stuff! If you're an artsy individual who enjoys the Halloween festivities, then Zombie Joe's is the place for you. Without ruining the experience, ZJU was a pleasant surprise that was both scary and unique.
We didn't really have any idea what we're getting ourselves into at the time. But this show was such a cool event to do with a group of friends that doesn't destroy your wallet. The workers were amazingly fun and helpful, and the production was smartly put together!Written March 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Recommended to any on the area.Written February 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RebeccaForsterPalos Verdes Estates, CA415 contributionsWe attended a play reading at the gallery. We had been there before in the upstairs theater but this time we were in the downstairs space. It was a wonderful place to showcase rising artists. It felt like New York, walking through a neighborhood of shuttered for the night businesses to reach our the gallery. There were one or two restaurant/bars open which just added to the ambience. The big drawback is parking. We parked three long blocks away. But if it had been easier with parking int he back or valet, it wouldn't have been that same 'theater discovery' experience that is always so much fun.Written January 20, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - vpvalenciaSanta Clarita, CA110 contributionsI have six relatives here dating back to 1962 and over the past few years this place is poorly maintained and getting worse. If I could, I would move all the bodies to a nicer place to visit.
Grass is overgrown or missing with dirt patches throughout, grave markers have weeds covering the headstones, others are shifting and exposed. Prices are outrageous and after not paying triple price for a new marker, I was charged $1400 to install it. Went to see it today and the neighbors two headstones were covered in dirt from placing our marker.
Nobody cares and requests/phone calls go unanswered. I was told the facility was sold a few years back to Dignity - however there is no Dignity or respect for the deceased here. I told my kids to stop the cycle and put me at peace in another facility.
This place is no more than a dirty back yard, especially in the older sections as the grass is gone and dirt covers most of the grave sites. I'm not mad - I'm sad ...Written October 25, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Find a neighboring side street and walk a little. The theater was quaint and all seats were within 10 meters of the stage. Concessions, beer and wine available at a reasonable price. I'll be back for sure. Saw "Nosferatu". Outstanding performance by all of the cast members. This is no low grade show. Highly recommend if it's still around. Very well done.Written October 12, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Richard SLos Angeles, CA385 contributionsLarge place with indoor and outdoor seating. Large amount of craft beer selection and wine list. Upgrade pub grab and very delicious. The brisket sliders are yummy and so are the pork tacos, in fact ordered the tacos twice. Two pool tables and shuffle board available. Also there appears to be an upstair area. Only small issue is the lack of help which it seems every business is having at the time.Written July 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ShanelleSanta Monica, CA7,372 contributionsAxe throwing spot to release your inner lumberjack (or just release some stress in general). Came here in a big group (10 of us) without a reservation to do an hour of axe-throwing ($25 per person for an hour). Bear in mind that it’s not a full hour of axe-throwing - rather, you alternate with other parties and take turns. The workers do their best to make sure that everyone spends an equal amount of time throwing axes and do a good job of explaining safety measures and will also help with your technique by watching you throw.
Parking is available in the back although there is some street parking available. The lot is immediately after the building and there’s a small sign indicating it’s presence. You have to go down an alley to reach the back so be conscious of others cars coming in and out since the space is a bit narrow. Once you enter you can sign the waiver at the tablets to the right, and can check in/pay with the staff at the front counter. They do take credit card and there’s even a little souvenir shop to the left if you want to buy some shirts or memorabilia. Bathrooms are to the left and the axe throwing for reserved parties are right behind the check in counters, while walk-ins are in the back.
There’s a bar that serves alcohol as well as food. They even have a CBD tea (which tastes yummy and like a faint peach, but didn’t really do anything beyond that). For the actual axe throwing, you’re given hatchets but have the option to throw the heavier, larger axes if you make a reservation. There’s plenty of seating and it’s a good large group activity, although I saw plenty of people on dates as well. Overall, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon and to do something novel.Written February 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly staff and they give you all the instructions and what you should know before going into the Escape room. I did the Cabin and it was soooo much fun, a little challenging, but I definitely recommend it.Written April 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Monica R3 contributionsTiki No is one of those special places. All the drinks are great and the bartenders are fun to chat with. My favorite drink is the coconut mojito followed by a piña colada!! Great after work or for a late night cocktail.Written May 23, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- truthbetold_10Chicago, IL270 contributionsBest imperial stouts in the neighborhood. They always have something new on draft. Love the casual atmosphere - with board games on request! We come here everytime we visit our daughter in NoHo. The food is good too - great varied menu - good for our vegan friend too!Written November 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
