Here's What Michigan's 'Newcomer Rental Subsidy' Program Entails (How Many Will Whitmer Take In?)

Just to set the maddening tone to this story, in Michigan, a man in the U.S. illegally has been charged with shooting a 25-year-old woman and then dumping her on an expressway:

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — A man is facing five charges in connection to the shooting death of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia on the night of March 22.

Brandon Ortiz-Vite, 25, admitted to shooting Garcia multiple times in her car and then leaving her for dead on US-131. He turned himself in days later with blood on his clothes, court documents detail.

"This is another case of a domestic violence homicide that we've seen, quite frankly, far too often over the last few years," said Kent County Prosecutor Christopher Becker.

Ortiz-Vite faces felony murder, open murder, carjacking and two weapons charges.

He was in the United States illegally, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. An ICE spokesperson said Ortiz-Vite is from Mexico, and he was previously deported in 2020. At some point, he reentered the United States.

The illegal was deported before Biden took office, but was able to sneak back into the country later (actually there's not even much need to "sneak" anymore -- they just walk in).

Not only has Biden encouraged people to illegally "surge to the border" (where they're being allowed to cross as part of the Dems' plan to pad their voter rolls by millions), but once they're in certain U.S. cities those illegals are given money.

Now that entering the U.S. illegally has been incentivized, the government is working to sweeten the deal for legal citizens to try and quell some of the anger over Biden's open borders.

In Michigan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is offering residents a cool $500 a month for what they call a "Newcomer Rental Subsidy":

"Newcomers"? Can "honorary Americans" be far behind?

The White House recently got in on the push to make Orwell roll over in his grave by renaming illegal aliens "newcomers."

I can't help but wonder how many illegals will be living at the governor's mansion. Ironically they might say it won't be done for security reasons, but the rest of us will be expected to take in the "newcomers" for five bills a month of our own money.

For some reason all this reminds me of an old Norm Macdonald joke on SNL:

Yep, that joke came to mind for no particular reason after reading about Whitmer's "Newcomer Rental Subsidy" plan.

November can't get here fast enough.
