Eurovision 2024: Technical Rehearsals are underway at the Malmö Arena!

The technical rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 have begun since April 18 at the Malmö Arena in Sweden.

It has been revealed by a few snippets from crew members on social media that there will be cubic platforms with lights, that spin and change positions according to each performance.

The stage seems to be built on video tecnhology, that encloses the floors, walls and ceiling, mixed with lighting and automation.

Another video reveals the amount  of camera angles during the dutch performace and the speed that they are changing.

The camera operators seem to use CuePilot, a Danish software that usually is used in proffesional and expensive productions. The software is an automation system that allows the television maker to foresee the upcoming shots and rearrange the camera moves and angles.

Swedish broadcaster and organiser of this year’s Eurovision SVT is going to work daily at the Arena to make sure that everything will be ready for the stand-in rehearsals, that are expected later this week.

We remind you that the first rehearsals with the artists are scheduled on Saturday, April 27.
