The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit has named 260 soldiers who fell in battle or the line of duty since the beginning of the ground incursion in Gaza.

On Saturday, April 6, the IDF reported that four soldiers from the Commando Brigade had been killed in action in southern Gaza:

  • Ido Baruch, 21, from Tel Mond.
  • Amitai Even Shoshan, 20, from Azriel.
  • Reef Harush, 20 from Kibbutz Ramat David.
  • Ilai Zair, 20, from Kedar.

On Monday, April 1, it was announced that Staff sergeant Nadav Cohen, 20, from Haifa, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Cohen served in the 77th Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade.

On Sunday, March 31, the IDF announced that Sergeant First Class Sivan Wail, 20 from Ra'anana, died after being wounded in battle on Friday.

He served in the Egoz Unit of the Commando Brigade.

On Friday, March 29, Sergeant major Alon Kudriashov, 21, from Modiin, in the Egoz unit, was killed in action in southern Gaza.

On Wednsday, March 27th, the IDF cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Nisim Kachlon, 21 from Hadera, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Kachlon served as a combat soldier in the 435th Battalion of the Givati Brigade.

On Sunday, March 24th, the IDF announced that Staff Sergeant Lior Raviv, 21, from Rishon Lezion, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Raviv, who served in the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade, was killed in clashes with terrorists at Shifa Hospital.

On Friday, March 22nd, Sergeant First Class Ilay David Garfinkel was killed by a sniper in a terror attack. Garfinkel, a resident of Sitria, near Rehovot, fought in the IDF's Duvdevan Unit, and fell during operational activity in the Ephraim Brigade Region.

On Tuesday, March 19th, the IDF cleared for publication that Warrant Officer (res.) Sebastian Haion, age 51 from Rosh Ha'ayin, fell in battle in northern Gaza. Haion served as a commander in Brigade 401.

On Monday, March 18th, the IDF announced that Staff Sergeant Matan Vinogradov, 20, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Matan served in the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade.

On Sunday, March 10th, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant First Class (res.) Michael Gal, 29, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Saturday, March 9th, it was announced that Major (res.) Amishar Ben David, 43, was killed in battle in Gaza. Ben David served in the commando units' command center. He is survived by his wife and children.

On Wednesday, March 6, it was cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant David Sasson, 21, from Ganot Hadar, was killed in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, March 3, it was cleared for publication that Sergeant Major (res.) Dennis Yekimov, 33, from Be'er Sheva, fell in battle in Gaza on Saturday.

On Saturday night, March, it was cleared for publication that Sergeant Dolev Malka, 19, from Shlomi, Sergeant Inon Itzhak, 20, from Mitzpe Ramon, and Sergeant Afik Tery, 19, from Rehovot, fell in battle in southern Gaza on Friday.

The three fought in Battalion 450 of the Bislach Brigade, and fought as soldiers in the Nachshon Battalion (90) of the Kfir Brigade. They fell in battle in southern Gaza.

On Wednesday, February 28, it was cleared for publication that Major Iftah Shahar, 25, from Moshav Paran, and Captain Itai Seif, 24, from Yerucham, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Both of them served in the Givati Brigade.

On Sunday, February 25, it was cleared for publication that Givati Brigade soldiers Staff Sergeant Nerya Belete, 21, from Shavei Shomron, and Staff Sergeant Ido Eli Zrihen, 20, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Saturday, February 24, it was cleared for publication that Major Eyal Shuminov, 24, from Karmiel, fell in battle in Gaza.

On Wednesday, February 21, it was cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Abraham Wovagen, 21, from Netanya, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Monday, February 19, it was cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Simon Shlomov, 20, from Kiryat Bialik, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday.

It was also cleared for publication that Paratrooper Brigade soldier Maoz Morell, 22, from Talmon, succumbed to wounds sustained in battle in Gaza.

On Friday, February 16, the IDF cleared for publication that Staff sergeant Noam Haba, 20, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in southern Gaza.

On Thursday, February 15, it was cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Rotem Sahar-Hadar, 20, from Kfar Aviv, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Staff Sergeant Sahar-Hadar served in the Paratroopers Brigade Reconnaissance Unit. The soldier fell in a confrontation with terrorists near the Nasser Hospital.

On Wednesday, February 14th, the IDF cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Omer Sarah Benjo, 20, from Ge'a, was killed as a result of a Hezbollah missile barrage on a military base in northern Israel.

On Tuesday, February 13, the names of three fallen reservists were cleared for publication:

Lt. Col. (res.) Netanel Yaacov Elkouby, 36, from Haifa, fell in battle in southern Gaza.

Capt. (res.) Yair Cohen, 30, from Ramat Gan, fell in battle in southern Gaza.

Sergeant first class (res.) Ziv Chen, 27, from Kfar Saba, fell in battle in southern Gaza.

On Monday morning, February 12th, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit cleared for publication the names of two IDF soldiers who fell in battle in Gaza and whose families have been notified:

Sergeant First Class Adi Eldor, 21, from Haifa, fell in battle in southern Gaza.

Sergeant First Class (res.) Alon Kleinman, 21, from Tel Aviv, fell in battle in southern Gaza.

On Tuesday, February 6, the IDF confirmed that Major David Shakuri (30) a resident of Rehovot, deputy commander of the 601st Battalion, 401st Brigade, of the Combat Engineering Corps, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, February 4, the IDF confirmed that Sgt. First Class Shimon Yehoshua Asulin, 24, from Beit Shemesh, was killed on Saturday in a battle in the south of the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, the IDF confirmed that Warrant officer (res.) Yuval Nir, Captain (res.) Gavriel Shani, and Major (res.) Netzer Simchi fell in battle in Gaza.

Later that evening the IDF cleared for publication that Major (res.) Yitzhar Hofman, 36 from Ashchar, a company commander in the Shaldag Unit, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Early on Friday afternoon, January 26, 2024, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant major (res.) Eliran Yeger, age 36 from Tel Aviv, fell in battle in Gaza. Yeger fought in the Givati Brigade's engineering battalion 8170.

On Tuesday morning, January 23, 2024, the IDF cleared for publication that in a tragic incident in Gaza, 21 reserve soldiers were killed:

- Sergeant Major (res.) Itamar Tal, 32, from Mesilot.

- Sergeant Major (res.) Adam Bismut, 35, from Karnei Shomron.

- Sergeant Major (res.) Shay Biton Hayun, 40, from Zichron Yaakov.

- Sergeant Major (res.) Zegeye Daniel Kasau, 38, from Yokneam Il

- Sergeant Major (res.)Matan Lazar, 32, from Haifa.

- Sergeant First Class (res.)Hadar Kapeluk, 23, from Mevo Beitar.

- Sergeant Major (res.)Sergey Gontmaherr, 37, from Ramat Gan.

- Sergeant First Class (res.)Elkana Yehuda Sfez, 25, from Kiryat Arba.

- Sergeant First Class (res.)Yuval Lopez, 27, from Alon Shvut.

- Master Sergeant (res.)Yoav Levi, 29, from Yehud-Monosson.

Soldiers who fell in the tragidy

On Monday, January 22, 2024, the IDF announced that three officers were killed in battle in Khan Yunis: Major David Nati Alfasi, 27 from Be'er Sheva, a deputy battalion commander in the 202nd Battalion of the Paratrooper Brigade, Major Ilay Levy, 24 from Tel Aviv, a company commander in the 202nd Battalion of the Paratrooper Brigade, Captian Eyal Mevorach Twito, 22 from Beit Gamliel, a platoon commander in the 202nd Battalion of the Paratrooper Brigade.

On the morning of Sunday, January 21, 2024, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant First Class (res.) Uriel Aviad Silberman, 23, from Moshav Nehalim, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Friday, January 19, 2024, it was cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Ori Gerby, 20, from Herzliya, who served in the Givati Brigade, succumbed on Thursday to injuries sustained on January 17 in battle in northern Gaza.

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, the names of four soldiers who fell in battle were cleared for publication:

Staff Sergeant Oriya Ayimalk Goshen, 21 from Jerusalem, a soldier in the Givati Reconnaissance Unit, fell in battle with terrorists in the southern Gaza Strip.

Master Sergeant (Res.) Anwar Serhan, 26, from the northern Druze town Hurfeish, a soldier in the 910th Battalion of the Etzion Regional Brigade, was killed in a car accident while on duty in Judea and Samaria.

Master sergeant (res.) Zechariah Pesach Haber, 32, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Major (res.) Yair Katz, 34, from Holon, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the names of two soldiers who fell in battle or in the line of duty were cleared for publication:

- Sergeant Major (res.) Noam Ashram, 37, from Kfar Saba, died on Monday after succumbing to wounds sustained in battle in Gaza on December 29, 2023.

- Sergeant first class (res.) Nitzan Schessler, 21, from Hadera, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday.

On January 14, it was cleared for publication that Sergeant first class (res.) Andu’alem Kabeda, 21, from Kiryat Gat, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On January 13, it was learned for publication that Major (res.) Dan Wajdenbaum, 24, from Ra'anana, fell in battle in central Gaza.

On January 10, it was cleared for publication that Sergeant Major Elkana Newlander, 24, from Efrat, fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the names of four soldiers who fell in battle were cleared for publication:

- Sergeant Roi Tal, 19, from Kfar Yehoshua, who fought in the 94th Battalion of the Kfir Brigade, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Sergeant first class (res.) David Schwartz, 26, from Elazar, who fought in the 8219th Engineering Battalion, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Sergeant first class (res.) Yakir Hechster, 26, from Jerusalem, who fought in the 8219th Engineering Battalion, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Sergeant first class (res.) Gavriel Bloom, 27, from Beit Shemesh, fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

Additionally, five combat engineering soldiers were reported killed in action on Tuesday, January 9th:

Amit Moshe Shahar, 25, from Ramat Yohanan, fought in the Yahalom combat engineering unit, and was killed in central Gaza.

Denis Krokhmalov Veksler, 32, from Be’er Sheva, fought in the Yahalom combat engineering unit, and was killed in central Gaza.

Ron Efrimi, 26, from Hod Hasharon, fought in the Yahalom combat engineering unit, and was killed in central Gaza.

Roi Avraham Maimon 24, from Afula, fought in the Yahalom combat engineering unit, and was killed in central Gaza. He also served as a paramedic.

Akiva Yasinskiy, 35, from Ramat Gan, fought in the 8173rd battalion of the Combat Engineering Corps, and was killed in central Gaza.

On Saturday, January 6, 2024, Lieutenant Colonel Roee Yohay Yosef Mordechay, 31 years old from Tel Aviv, fell in battle in northern Gaza. Mordechay fought in the IDF's Nahal Brigade.

On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, it was cleared for publication that Sergeant first class Meiron Moshe Gersch, 21, from Petah Tikva, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Gersch fought in the Yahalom unit, a special unit of the Combat Engineering Corps.

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the IDF cleared for publication that Staff sergeant Sufian Dagash, 21, fell in battle in Gaza. He served in the Combat Engineering Corps' 601st Battalion.

On Monday, January 1, 2024, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant First Class (res.) Amichai Yisrael Yehoshua Oster, a resident of Karnei Shomron who served in Battalion 7020 of the 5th Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sgt. Oster, 24, was a resident of Karnei Shomron and served in Battalion 7020 of the 5th Brigade. His family has been notified of his passing.

On Sunday, December 31, the IDF cleared for publication the names of four fallen soldiers whose families have been notified:

Captain Harel Ittah z"l, 22 years old, from Netanya, a commander in the Givati brigade, who died of his wounds after being wounded in action in southern Gaza.

Master sergeant (res.) Constantine Sushko z"l, 30 years old, from Tel Aviv, served in the 7086th combat engineering battalion in the Golani brigade.

Sergeant First Class (res.) Liav Seada z"l, 23 years old, from Tverya, served in the 7107th combat engineering battalion and was killed in northern Gaza.

Sergeant Major (res.) Eliraz Gabai z"l, 37 years old from Petah Tikvah, served in the 7810th battalion of the Yiftach Brigade and was killed in central Gaza.

On Friday, December 29th, it was announced that Captain (res.) Harel Sharvit fell in battle in Gaza.

Sharvit, 33, was a resident of Kokhav Ya'akov. He served in Brigade 551, as an officer in Battalion 7008.

On Thursday morning, December 28, the IDF cleared for publication the names of three fallen soldiers whose families have been notified:

- Sergeant first class (res.) Asaf Pinhas Tubul, 22, from Kiryat Motzkin, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

- Captain Neriya Zisk, 24, from Masu'ot Itzhak, fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip on Wednes;day.

- Major Dvir David Fima, 32, from Kfar Yona, fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

Lieutenant Yaron Eliezer Chitiz, 23, from Ra'anana, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Staff sergeant Itay Buton, 20, from Petah Tikva, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Staff sergeant Efraim Yachman, 21, from Neve Daniel, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday evening, the IDF cleared for publication the names of three soldiers who fell in battle in Gaza and whose families have been notified:

First Sergeant Maor Lavi, from Susya , fell in battle in Gaza on Tuesday, December 26.

Major Shay Shamriz, from Merkaz Shapira, commander of a company in Regiment 931, Nachal Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Captain (res.) Shaul Greenglick, 26, from Ra'anana, commander in Regiment 931, Nachal Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday morning, December 26, the IDF cleared for publication the names of two soldiers who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip and whose families have been notified:

Staff sergeant Daniel Nachmani z"l died of wounds sustained during an operation in northern Israel. He was 21 years old, from Kfar Saba.

Staff sergeant Elisha Yehonatan Lober, 24, from Yitzhar, of the 179th Reserve Armored Brigade's 8104th Battalion, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant first class Joseph Gitarts, 25, from Tel Aviv, of the 7029th Battalion, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Monday morning, December, 25, the names of two soldiers who fell in Gaza were made public:

- Master Sergeant (res.) Nitai Meisels, 30, from Rehovot, who served in the 14th Brigade of the Armored Corps, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

- Sergeant Rani Tamir, 20, from Ganei Am, who served in the 50th Battalion of the Nahal Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

The IDF on Sunday morning cleared for publication the names of eight fallen soldiers whose families have been notified:

- Staff sergeant David Bogdanovskyi, 19, from Haifa, fell on Saturday in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Staff sergeant Orel Bashan, 20, from Haifa, fell on Saturday in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Staff sergeant Gal Hershko, 20, from Yiftah, fell on Saturday in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Staff sergeant Itamar Shemen, 21, from Lapid, fell on Saturday in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

- Master Sergeant (res.) Nadav Issachar Farhi, 30, from Herzliya, fell on Saturday in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

- Master Sergeant (res.) Eliyahu Meir Ohana, 28, from Haifa, fell on Saturday in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

- Sergeant first class (res.) Elyassaf Shoshan, 23, from Jerusalem, fell on Saturday in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

- Sergeant first class (res.) Ohad Ashur, 23, from Kfar Yona, fell on Saturday in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

Later in the day, the IDF announced the names of two additional fallen soldiers:

Staff Sergeant Roy Elias, 21, from Tzofar. He served in the 'Storm of the Golan' detachment, under the 603rd combat engineering battalion. He was killed by an anti-tank missile in Khan Younis.

Major (Res.) Aryeh Rein, 39, from Mishmarot, who was an armored corps officer in the 79th Battalion of the 14th Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Saturday night, the IDF published the names of five soldiers who fell while fighting in Gaza: Staff sergeant Nir Rafael Kananian, 20, Staff sergeant Birhanu Kassie, 22, Master sergeant (res.) Shay Termin, 26, Warrant officer (res.) Alexander Shpits, 41, and Captain Oshri Moshe Butzhak, 22.

On Friday evening, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant Amit Hod Ziv, 19, from Rosh Haayin, fell during operational activity following launches that were carried out from Lebanese territory towards northern Israel.

The IDF on Friday morning cleared for publication the names of two fallen soldiers whose families were notified:

Lieutenant Shai Ayeli, 21, from Ashkelon, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant first class (res.) Tal Shua, 31, from Be'er Sheva, who fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Thursday morning, the names of three fallen soldiers were cleared for publication:

Sergeant Lavi Ghasi, 19, from Hashmonaim, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Lieutenant Yaacov Elian, 20, from Ramat Gan, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Lieutenant Omri Schwartz, 21, from Moshav Shadmot Dvora, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the local cemetery.

On Wednesday morning, it was cleared for publication that Captain (res.) Lior Sivan, 32, from Beit Shemesh, fell on Tuesday during a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Sivan served as a combat officer in the 363rd Battalion of the 10th Brigade.

It was also cleared for publication that Captain (res.) Uriel Cohen, 33, a soldier from the Givati Brigade from Tzur Hadassah, fell in battle in Gaza on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday evening, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant Major (res.) Maoz Fenigstein fell in battle in northern Gaza.

On Tuesday morning, the IDF cleared for publication the names of two fallen IDF soldiers whose families have been notified:

Master sergeant (res.) Daniel Yacov Ben Harosh, 31, from the town of Alon, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Captain (res.) Rotem Yoseff Levy, 24, from Oranit, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Monday morning, December 18th, the IDF announced the names of four fallen soldiers:

Sergeant First Class Urija Bayer, 20, from Ma'lot Tarshiha, who served in the Maglan reconnaissance unit, died of serious injuries sustained in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip on December 14.

Sergeant First Class Liav Aloush, 21, from Gedera, who served in the Duvdevan unit, was killed in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Master sergeant Etan Naeh, 26, from Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu, who served in the Duvdevan unit, was killed in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Master sergeant Tal Filiba, 23, from Rehovot, who served in the Yahalom unit, was killed in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Later in the day, the IDF cleared for publication that Sergeant First Class (Res.) Lidor Yosef Karavani, 23, from Eilat, who was a soldier in Engineering Battalion 8163 of the Southern Command, fell in battle on Sunday in the northern Gaza Strip.

In addition, on Monday evening it was cleared for publication that two more soldiers had fallen in battle.

Captain Yarin Gahali, 22, from Rehovot, commanded a platoon in the Givati Brigade and was killed in battle in southern Gaza. He was posthumously promoted from Lieutenant to Captain.

Captain Netanel Silberg (Res.), 33, from Na'ama, a team commander in the Yahalom Engineering Unit, was killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Sunday morning, December 17th, the IDF released the names of two reservists who fell in battle in Gaza:

Master sergeant (res.) Joseph Avner Doran, 26, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday.

Sergeant Major (res.) Shalev Zaltsman, 24, from Ramat Yishai, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday.

Later in the day, the IDF cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Boris Dunavetski, 21 years old from Kiryat Bialik, fell in battle in northern Gaza.

On Saturday, December 16th, the IDF on reported that Warrant Officer (res.) Yehezkel Azaria, age 53, from Petah Tikva, fell during military operational activity in northern Israel.

On Friday, December 15th, the IDF announced that Sergeant Oz Shmuel Aradi, 19, from Kibbutz Hatzor, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Later in the day, the IDF also released the names of Sergeant First Class (res.) Shay Uriel Pizem, 23, from Kibbutz Ein Hanatziv, and Master Sergeant (res.) Tomer Shlomo Myara, 28, from Netanya, who fell in battle in Gaza.

On Thursday, December 14th, the IDF cleared for publication that Master Sergeant (res.) Elisha Levinshtern, 38, from Harish, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday morning, December 13th, the IDF cleared for publication the names of ten soldiers who fell in battles in the Gaza Strip:

-Colonel Itzhak Ben Basat, age 44 from Sde Yaakov, who served as commander of a command room in the Golani Brigade, fell in battle on Tuesday night in northern Gaza.

-Sergeant Eran Aloni, 19 years old from Ofakim, fought in Battalion 51 of the Golani Brigade and fell on Tuesday night during a battle in northern Gaza.

-Lieutenant Colonel Tomer Grinberg, 35, from Almog, commander of the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was killed last night in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

-Major Roei Meldasi, 23, from Afula, Company Commander in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was killed last night in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

-Major Moshe Avram Bar On, 23, from Ra'anana, Company Commander in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was killed last night in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

-SergeantAchia Daskal, 19, from Haifa, a soldier in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was killed last night in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

-Captain Liel Hayo, 22, from Shoham, Platoon Commander in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was killed last night in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Monday morning, December 11th, the IDF cleared for publication the names of four fallen soldiers:Sergeant Major Gideon Ilani, 35, from Asael, fell in battle in Gaza. Sergeant Major Etay Perry, 36, from Modi'in, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip. Major (res.) Eviatar Cohen, 42, from Kfar Saba, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip. Major Gal Becher, 34, from Oranit, fell in a military accident in southern Israel. Later in the day, Master Sergeant (res.) Tzvika Lavi, a resident of the Binyamin region town of Eli who was seriously injured two weeks earlier in the fighting in the Gaza Strip, succumbed to his wounds.

Also on December 11th, the IDF cleared for publication the names of three soldiers who fell in battle in southern Gaza: Major Roman Bronstein, 46, from Bat Yam, Captain Elia Yanovsky, 24, from Jerusalem, and Sergeant Ari Yehiel Zenilman, 32, from Jerusalem. All three served in the 5th Brigade’s 8111th Battalion.

On Sunday, December 10th, the IDF announced that Lieutenant Nethanel Menachem Eitan, 22, from Jerusalem, a cadet in the IDF Officers' School Gefen Battalion, who served as a soldier in Unit 669, succumbed to the wounds that he sustained last Friday in a battle in northern Gaza.

On Saturday, December 9, the IDF announced the deaths of five additional soldiers: Master Sergeant (res.) Liav Atiya, age 25, from Be'er Sheva, fought infought in Battalion 6623 of the 55th Paratroopers Brigade and fell in battle in southern Gaza.

Staff sergeant Haim Meir Eden, age 20, from Rehovot, fought in Battalion 13 of the Golani Brigade and died on Saturday, December 9, of his wounds after he was severely injured on October 7.

On Friday, December 8, the IDF announced that Sergeant Major (res.) Kobi Dvash, 41, from Tiberias, was killed on Thursday in battle in the southern Gaza Strip. Master sergeant (res.) Eyal Meir Berkowitz, 28, from Jerusalem, fell on Thursday in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Friday afternoon, the IDF cleared for publication that Master Sergeant (Res.) Naftali Yonah Gordon, 32, from Jerusalem, a soldier in the 53rd Battalion of the 188th "Barak" Armored Brigade and Sergeant First Class (Res.) Omri Rot, 25, from Qatsrin, a tank commander in the 53rd Battalion of the 188th "Barak" Armored Brigade, fell in battle in northern Gaza.

On Thursday, December 7, former IDF Chief of Staff, Minister Gadi Eisenkot, received the devastating news that his son, Master sergeant (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot, 25, fell in battle in Gaza. In addition, the IDF announced that Sergeant Major (Res.) Jonathan David Deitch, 34, from Harish, fell in southern Gaza.

On Thursday afternoon, the IDF announced the death of Sergeant first class (res.) Maor Gershoni, 24 from Yokne'am Illit, who was a commander in Battalion 8173 of the Etzioni Brigade and fell in battle in Gaza on Wednesday.

His death follows the deaths of Sergeant Amit Bonzel, 22, from Shoham, who fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday; and Staff Sergeant Alemnew Emanuel Feleke, 22, from Kiryat Gat, died on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

Also on Wednesday, the IDF announced that Sergeant Major (Res.) Adi Shani, age 39, from Tzur Yitzhak, a reconnaissance soldier in Logistics Unit 6036, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Early on Wednesday morning, the IDF said that Staff Sergeant (res.)Yehonatan Malka, 23, from Be'er Sheva, fell in battle in the Gaza Strip; and that Lieutenant Yochai Gur Hershberg, 52, fell in a military accident in southern Israel.

On Tuesday, the IDF cleared for publication of the names of two additional soldiers who fell in battles in the Gaza Strip: Master sergeant (res.) Matan Damari, 31, from Dimona, who was killed by mortar fire in the northern Gaza Strip, and Master sergeant (res.) Ilay Eliyahu Cohen, 23, from Beit Nehemia.

On the morning of Tuesday, December 5, the IDF announced that Staff Sergeant Yakir Yedidya Schenkolewski, 21, from Migdal Oz; Captain Eitan Fisch, 23, from Peduel; and Sergeant Tuval Yaakov Tsanani, 20, from Kiryat Gat fell in battle in Gaza.

Later that day, the IDF reported that Sergeant first class (res.) Gil Daniels, age 34 from Ashdod, fought in Brigade 261's Battalion 6261; and Captain Yahel Gazit, age 24 from Rakefet, served as a deputy company commander in Brigade 188's Battalion 53.

On Monday morning, December 4, the IDF reported that Sergeant major (res.)Neriya Shaer, 36, from Yavneh fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip; Sergeant first class (res.)Ben Zussman, 22, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip; and Sergeant Binyamin Yehoshua Needham, 19, from Zikhron Ya'akov, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Two soldiers fell on Saturday, December 2: Sergeant first class (res.) Or Brandes, 25 years old from Shoham, who fought in Battalion 82 of Brigade 7, and fell in battle in central Gaza; and Staff Sergeant Aschalwu Sama, age 20 from Petah Tikva, who fought in Battalion 932 of the Nahal Brigade, and died of his wounds after he was wounded in battle in northern Gaza on November 14.

Just prior to the beginning of a week-long ceasefire agreed upon in order to allow for prisoner swaps, the IDF announced the deaths of Staff Sergeant Eitan Dov Rosenzweig, 21 from Alon Shvut, who served in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade and fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip; and Captain Liron Snir, 25, from Ofra, a soldier in the Golani Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday morning, November 21, the IDF cleared for publication that Captain (res.) Arnon Moshe Avraham Benvenisti Vaspi, 26, from Yesud HaMa'ala, and Staff sergeant Ilya Senkin, 20, from Nof Hagalil. Both served in the Givati Brigade.

Early in the afternoon of Monday, November 20, the IDF reported that Staff Sergeant Eytan Dishon, age 21 from Jerusalem, fell while fighting in Gaza.

Dishon was a soldier in the Givati Brigade, and fell during battle in northern Gaza.

Earlier that same day, the IDF cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Dvir Barazani, 20, from Jerusalem, and Sergeant Yinon Tamir, 20, from Pardes Hanna-Karkur, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, the IDF named seven soldiers who fell during the war:

On Saturday evening, the IDF announced the deaths of six soldiers who fell in battle in Gaza:

Master Sergeant (res.) David (Dudi) Digmi, age 43, from Rishon Lezion, served as a paramedic in the southern brigade of the Gaza Division and fell on November 7.

Staff Sergeant Shlomo Gurtovnik, age 21, from Modi'in Maccabim-Reut, served as a combat paramedic in Battalion 46 of Brigade 401 and fell in battle in Gaza.

Captain Eden Provisor, age 21 from Alfei Menasheh, served as a platoon commander in Battalion 52, Brigade 401, and fell in battle in Gaza.

Staff Sergeant Adi Malik Harb, age 19 from Beit Jan, served in the Nahal commando unit in the Nahal Brigade, and fell in battle in Gaza.

Staff Sergeant Shachar Fridman, age 21 from Jerusalem, served in Battalion 101 of the Paratroopers Brigade, and fell in battle in Gaza.

On Thursday, November 16, the IDF announced that Captain Shlomo Bin-Nun, 22 years old from Modi'in, fell during operational activity in northern Gaza on Wednesday night. Bin-Nun was a company commander Battalion 202 of the Paratroopers Brigade.

Earlier that same day, the IDF announced that Captain Asaf Master, 22, from Kibbutz Bahan, a platoon commander in the 601st Battalion, 401st Brigade, and Captain Kfir Itzhak Franco, 22, from Jerusalem, a platoon commander in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade, were killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday, November 14, two IDF soldiers fell in battle in northern Gaza: Captain (res.) Omri Yosef David, 27, from Karmiel, Deputy Company Commander in the 12th Negev Brigade and Captain Yedidya Asher Lev, 26, from Tal Menashe, Deputy Company Commander in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade.

Also on Tuesday, the IDF announced that Staff Sergeant Roee Marom, 21, from Ra'anana, who served in the 906th Battalion, and Master Sergeant (res.) Raz Abulafia, 27 years old, from Rishpon, a soldier in the 6863rd Battalion, 12th Brigade, fell in battle in northern Gaza:

On Monday morning, the IDF announced that two members of the Commando Brigade, Major Isachar Natan,28, from Kiryat Malachi, and Staff Sergeant Itay Shoham, 21, from Rosh Haayin, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Saturday night, an IDF spokesman announced the names of five additional soldiers who fell in Gaza over the weekend: Master Sergeant (res.) Matan Meir, 38, from Odem, fought in Battalion 697, Brigade 551; Major (res.) Moshe Yedidya Leiter, age 39 from Ein Tzurim, Company Commander of Battalion 697 of Brigade 551, served as a company commander in the Shaldag Unit; Sergeant Major (res.) Yosef Chaim (Yossi) Hershkowitz, age 44 from Gva'ot, fought in Battalion 697 of Brigade 551; Master Sergeant (res.) Sergei Shmarkin, 32 years old from Kiryat Shmona, fought in Battalion 697 of Brigade 551, and Master Sergeant (res.) Natanel (Nati) Harosh, age 34 years from Jerusalem, fought in Administrative Aid Unit 5084 in the Givati Brigade fell during the battles in northern Gaza.

On Friday, the IDF announced that Staff Sergeant Yehonatan Yitzchak Samo, a soldier in the Paratroopers Brigade from Carmei Tzur, died several days after he was badly wounded in a battle with Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Staff Sergeant Gilad Rozenblit, 21, from Kibbutz Ginegar, fell during an operational activity in northern Gaza on Thursday. Rozenblit served as a combat medic in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade ("Iron Tracks").

Also on Thursday, Master Sergeant (Res.) Dov Moshe (Dovy) Kogen, 32 years old from Nov, a member of the Shaldag Unit, fell in battle in Gaza. Kogen was the third member of Shaldag and the 36th IDF soldier to fall since the beginning of the ground operation.

Sergeant Eliahou Benjamin Elmakayes, 29, from Jerusalem, fought in the engineering battalion 8219 in Brigade 551, and fell in battle in central Gaza on Wednesday.

The IDF cleared for publication on Wednesday that Staff Sergeant Noam Yosef Abu, aged 20 from Dimona, a soldier in the Nahal Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Wednesday, it was announced that Sergeant Major Yonatan Hatzor, age 22 from Katzir, and Sergeant Major (res.) Yaacov Ozeri, 28, from Kfar Shamai, fell in battle in northern Gaza, the IDF announced. Hatzor fought in the IDF's Shaldag unit, and Ozeri fought in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade.

In addition, three soldiers were seriously injured on Tuesday night in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip. Their families have been notified.

On Monday morning, the IDF announced the death of Staff Sergeant Shahar Cohen Mivtach, 22, from Karmiel, who fell on Sunday in battle in northern Gaza.

On Sunday, one week after his tank overturned on the northern border, Rabbi Naaran Eshchar, a rabbi at Yeshivat Shadmot Mehola, died of his wounds. Rabbi Na'aran Eshchar donated a kidney to a man he did not know only four months ago, and because of this, he should not have been recruited into the war reserves. But he insisted.

Sergeant Yonatan Maimon, an IDF soldier in the Nahal Brigade, was killed in battle with the Hamas terrorist organization in northern Gaza on Saturday night. Maimon's family has been notified of their son's passing.

On Saturday evening, the IDF named four additional soldiers who fell in battle in Gaza.

Major Yehuda Natan Cohen, 25 years old from Shadmot Mechola, was a Givati commander who fell in northern Gaza.

Staff Sergeant Gilad Nehemya Nitzan, 21 from Shiloh, a Givati commando soldier, fell in battle in northern Gaza.

Staff Sergeant Yonadav Raz Levenstein, 23 years old from Maaleh Adumim, a Givati commando soldier, fell in battle in northern Gaza.

Master Sergeant Lior Arazi, 25 years old from Givat Haim Ihud, a paramedic in the Shaldag unit, fell in battle in northern Gaza.

On Friday morning, the IDF named four soldiers who had fallen in battle in northern Gaza: Captain Beni Wais, 22, from Haifa, a platoon commander in the 195th Battalion, 460th Brigade.

Master Sgt. (res.) Uriah Mash, 41, from Talmon, who fought in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade.

Master Sgt. (res.) Yehonatan Yosef Brand, 28, from Jerusalem, who fought in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade.

Sgt. Major (res.) Gil Pishitz, 39, from Harish, a tank driver in the 9th Battalion, 401st Brigade.

Later on Friday, Staff Sergeant Itai Sa'adon, 21, from the Galilee community of Har Halutz, was killed while fighting Hamas in northern Gaza. Sa'adon fought in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade.

In addition, the IDF said that Sergeant First Class (res.) Yedidya Eliyahu, age 25 from Karnei Shomron who fought in the Combat Engineering Corps' Battalion 8170, fell in battle in Gaza.

On Thursday evening, it was cleared for publication that IDF paratrooper Yair Nifousy was killed in battle against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

Staff Sgt. Nifousy, a 20-year-old resident of Adi, served in the Paratrooper’s 101st Battalion. He was seriously wounded in battle in northern Gaza Wednesday night and succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

Another soldier from the 101st Battalion was also wounded in the same battle.

Another soldier who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip was Lt. Col. Salman Habaka, 33, from Yanuh-Jat.

Eight soldiers from the Givati Tzabar Battalion were killed when an anti-tank missile hit their armored personnel carrier: Adi Danan, 20, from Yavne, Halel Solomon, 20, from Dimona, Erez Mishlovsky, 20, from Oranit, Adi Leon, 20, from Nili, Ido Ovadia, 19, from Tel Aviv, Lior Siminovich, 19, from Herzliya, Roei Dawi, 20, from Jerusalem, and Pdaya Mark, 22, from Otniel.

In addition, Ariel Reich, 24, from Jerusalem, and Asif Luger, 21, from Yagur, soldiers from the 77th Armored Battalion, were killed when their tank drove over an explosive device.

Later in the day, the names of three additional soldiers who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip were released: Roee Saragusti, squad commander in the Givati Brigade, Itai Yehuda, and Shai Arus.

In addition, two soldiers were seriously injured during the fighting that day.

On Tuesday, the names of two IDF soldiers who fell in battle against the Hamas terrorist organization in northern Gaza were cleared for publication.

Sergeant Roei Wolf, a 20-year-old resident of Ramat Gan, and Sergeant Lavi Lipshitz, a 20-year-old resident of Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut, were killed during battles on the ground against Hamas in northern Gaza.

Both soldiers served in the Givati Brigade Commando Unit. They were killed by an RPG that was fired at the building in which the Givati soldiers were stationed at the time.

The IDF began ground operations in northern Gaza on Friday, nearly three weeks after Hamas terrorists massacred over 1,400 people in southern Israel.

During the ground incursions into Gaza, Private Ori Megidish, an IDF soldier who was one of hundreds of people kidnapped by terrorists into Gaza on October 7, was successfully rescued from captivity.
