The early Floyd reprint project SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, which has entered the climax of the world tour for the first time in three years. Two live albums that convey the latest stage will be released at the same time.
This work is the second release of two simultaneous releases. It is a superb audience recording of “Denver performance on October 20, 2022”. Currently, they are the final stage of the third world tour since their formation. This week, the latest “INDIANAPOLIS 2022 (Amity 708)” will be released at the same time, and listening while grasping the progressing tour situation is the real pleasure of real-time reports. This is the full view of the tour in 2022. The Denver performance of this work is the 21st performance of the North American tour. We have introduced masterpiece live albums representing each leg so far, and this will be the 6th work in total with 2 North American tours.
Such a work is a superb recording suitable for representing the final stage of the tour. Since the official work “LIVE AT THE ROUNDHOUSE” was released in 2020, this year’s tour only introduces carefully selected recordings, but this work is exactly “This is it!”. “INDIANAPOLIS 2022”, which was released at the same time, was excellent in the psychedelic illusion that the ringing creates, but this work goes one step higher in terms of clarity. It is different from the feeling of close contact that can be mistaken for a sound board, but the brightness of the air is high, and the core that penetrates the middle is vivid to the details. In addition, since it has penetrating power at its core, the hall sound does not give a sense of distance, and while enhancing the synth spectacle, it does not become cloudy or muddy.
Also, the crystal-clear atmosphere conveys the mood of the scene honestly. As expected, since it is the audience of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, there is no need to talk during the performance or be disgusted by a maddening voice. However, the applause given between songs and key points is full of North American glue, and the atmosphere is different from Europe. That joy is also the real pleasure of stacking live albums of many performances.
And what is drawn with such a clear sound is a group of early Floyd’s masterpieces that have been polished on three world tours and have evolved independently. The set has not changed from “PORT CHESTER 2022 (Amity 701)” and “INDIANAPOLIS 2022”, but let’s repeat it here.

In contrast to the immersive and dynamism of “INDIANAPOLIS 2022”, this work has a dazzling clarity that will awaken your eyes. It is the latest two works of the finest audience with various personalities. Of course, I would like you to enjoy the two works together, but is this work recommended for those who want sound board-like vividness?
While many bands have announced tours after 2023, the schedule for SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS has not yet been released. I guess it’s up to Nick Mason to continue. In any case, this work is the cutting edge of progressive rock that has evolved once back to the origin. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
