Nick Carter’s baby at home ‘safe and sound’ after ‘complications’

Nick Carter and wife Lauren Kitt Carter’s newborn baby is finally home from the hospital.

The Backstreet Boys member, 41, announced Monday morning that their child is “home safe and sound” after experiencing “minor complications” during birth.

“Ok everyone, I wanted to let you know that finally, we are home safe and sound. Baby is doing so much better,” Nick tweeted. “I’m going to share a little picture with you really soon. Thank you again for all your love.”

Nick and Lauren, 37, welcomed their third child last Wednesday but shared that the birth didn’t go as smoothly as anticipated.

“As a parent knows all to very well, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan it,” he tweeted at the time. “We have been experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night.”

One day later, the “Everybody” singer said his baby’s health was “looking better” but they weren’t “out of the woods” just yet.

“We have to stay in the hospital one more night,” he wrote. “But Daddy and Mommy are watching baby like a Hawk. Thank you again for all your love and support. We see you.”

Nick and Lauren have yet to reveal the sex and name of their latest addition. Their newborn joins brother Odin Reign, 5, and sister Saoirse Reign, 1.

The Carters announced that they were expecting their third child in January after suffering “multiple miscarriages” over the years.

The couple married in April 2014.
