Parking Lot & EV Chargers

Free parking is available in our large parking lot and on Homer Street.

There are eight Electric Vehicle charging stations in the Library’s parking lot. Drivers can access these chargers through ChargePoint and pay only 20 cents per kWh.


Visiting by Bike? 

There are several bike racks on the front Homer Street plaza. Borrow a bike lock from our Library of Things Collection.

We are also a BlueBike station; bikes are available on the front Homer Street plaza.


Directions by Public Transportation

D Line (Green line to Riverside) – Newton Highlands station is about 1 mile from the library

Framingham Commuter Rail – Newtonville station is about 1 mile from the library

Needham Commuter Rail – Needham Heights station is about 4 miles from the library

59 Bus – Stops on the corner of Homer Street and Walnut Street across from the Library. This bus connects Newtonville station on the Framingham/Worcester line, Needham Heights station on the Needham line, and the Newton Highlands station on the D line (Green line to Riverside).

The 59 Bus travels by the Newton Highlands station as part of its route, and can be taken between the MBTA station and the Library.
