Open MUJI Food Market: May 11 - 12 @ Chadstone MUJI

To celebrate the long-awaited launch of MUJI Food in Australia, we are inviting six of our favourite local independent food brands to take part in our first Open MUJI Food Market event across the May 11 and 12 weekend. This is the perfect opportunity to grab some last-minute gifts for Mother's Day and also to taste some of the best food and drink Melbourne has to offer in one location in Chadstone! There'll also be food-tasting sessions throughout the day so customers can try our curry range that'll be for sale for the first time in Australia in May.

We've hand-picked a variety of vendors that represent a unique cross-section of strong local identity while representing cultures from Japan and across Asia. Read more about each of them below.

Kori
Kori is a popular ice-cream shop with two locations that serve some of the best Japanese-inspired ice-cream with Asian flavours. Think Fuji apple, yuzu, Hokkaido cheesecake and more. They'll be bringing their cart and be offering their ice-cream for the first time in Chadstone.

Raya
Raya is a bakery serving modern and imaginative cakes and pastries that incorporate owner Raymond Tan's Southeast Asian roots. His small-batch items range from sweet and savoury, and their popularity has made Raya a must-try in Melbourne.

Cha Haus
Owner Madoka-san is a Japanese Tea Ambassador who's passionate about about sharing the unique flavours and aromas of Japanese tea in Australia. Cha Haus takes pride in offering a carefully selected range of teas sourced from different regions of Japan along with a range of complementing teaware to ensure maximum enjoyment.

Haiku
Haiku is a Japanese-style eatery that's a popular brunch-spot by day and buzzing izakaya by night (weekends only). Next door is Haiku Future, their convenience store which offers a range of Haiku-made food items and other Japanese cooking essentials.

Kaokao Miso
Kaokao Miso offers a range of small-batch miso using Australian soybeans and other Japanese pantry items, all hand made in picturesque Daylesford, Victoria. The result is a unique brand that perfectly balances traditional Japanese craft and wonderful local produce.

Mamé Cocoa
Their Hand-crafted artisan chocolates designed and packaged in Melbourne are luxurious treats made with only the best ingredients. Mamé Cocoa flavours are a nod to Chef Santiago's Japanese and Filipino heritage whilst paying homage to unique Asian fruits and flavours from around the globe.

The Open MUJI Food Market will be open between 11AM - 3PM at MUJI Chadstone on May 11 and 12.
