Jon comes home from the war in Yunkai in need of a job (and a whole lot of healing), and his friend Tormund sets him up as a bodyguard to Myrcella, who needs protection (and a whole lot of healing of her own).
Title is from The Alcott by The National ft Taylor Swift, and the full lyric is 'everything that's mine is a landmine' so uhhhh just keep that in mind...
I know that I have a LOT of WIPs but I've been soooo writer's blocked lately and just had to give in to this little idea I had in my head, I hope you enjoy it!

Oh HEY! Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, happy long weekend to those who had it off. I have been sorely remiss with updating fanfics because I've been thinking about/working on an original fic. But I miss you all, and though I didn't have inspiration to continue any of my WIPs, I of course thought of a new story
it will likely not be very long, but I hope that it's enjoyable.
Jon is a single Dad to his five year old daughter Lya, she begins taking ballet classes from ballerina Myrcella, who may need to hire Jon's security services. There's absolutely NO way any of this will end up with Jon & Myrcella falling for each other. WHY WOULD YOU EVEN ASK THAT.
I'm aware this subject is well traveled, but it's Christmas and I'm by myself with four sweet dogs so let's just have a little fun?

Myrcella and Jon have known each other for many years. Though Jon and Trystane weren't technically related, they considered themselves cousins and were good friends. When Trystane died, he left Myrcella and their baby daughter Joey behind.
Jon has always looked out for them, but for the most part from afar, since he had been living in Dorne. When he returns home, they grow closer.
(title comes from 'Anybody Else' by JP Saxe, which is more overtly sexual but definitely the vibe of this story)
(the idea came to me when I wrote a quick tumblr prompt, but if you read that, just know that I may not stick to that timing, way of them getting together etc.)

Summary
Hi all! This is another venture into a canon era fic, but this is mostly canon compliant in terms of a backstory (majority of the show, with maybe some sprinklings of the book) except that Myrcella lives and instead of Jon being sent into exile, he's crowned King.
I promise that the politics & backstory etc will unfold naturally in the story, so if it is important to it it will be revealed within the story itself.
Please heed the tags! This is going to be anti a lot of people's faves, so please don't read if that isn't for you. Also, if you think there should be any additional tags, please let me know.
Title comes from a sonnet by Pablo Neruda that semperlitluv kindly directed me to after kindly letting me rant about this story all day.
Oh also, ages are 18 for Myrcella and 25 for Jon.

Summary
Myrcella and Sansa were inseparable as children, but had a falling out in their early twenties. Suddenly Myrcella comes back into the lives of the Starks, bringing her six year old daughter and a lot else with her. Robb has a lot of resentment for the way she treated Sansa, but also a lot of residual affection for the woman he's known since she was born. Though he plans to stay out of it, when Myrcella comes to him with a request for her and her daughter, he finds himself unable to say no.
The title comes from Cersei's quote: Love is poison. A sweet poison, yes, but it will kill you all the same.
Please note: this is going to deal with some difficult things and at times Myrcella and Robb may not be likable. Please heed that going in. If this story is not for you, please don't read it. I don't need to know why you are choosing not to, you can just simply not.

Before Ned Stark could get to the Tower of Joy, Arthur Dayne spirited away an infant Jon Snow and raised him as his own son, claiming his wife had died of childbed fever. Raised in Dorne under the guidance of the Sword of the Morning, Jon has all the courage and skill we love him for. He is highly ranked in Prince Trystane's household as part of his guard.
Three years earlier, Princess Myrcella had traveled from King's Landing to Dorne, as part of her Uncle Tyrion's attempt to keep at least one kingdom loyal to the crown. There she found friendship with her husband Trystane, but no passion.
When she is spirited away by her husband's guards one morning, she will find more than one excitement along the road.
Please note, I'll only reveal as much of the political landscape as is necessary for the story but that is in NO way the point of this story. Please be kind, canon-era fics and fighting are not my strong suit!

*Looks at you sheepishly from behind other WIPs* Heyyyyyyyy, so here's the thing...
A number of people recently have asked me about more Joncella fics, and I've also been down a bit of a canon divergent kick with my current Robbcella one, so here we are. You'll hear more about the exact political landscape through the story, but below is the crux:
-Rhaegar married Lyanna but it was a polygamy situation, not an annulment, so Aegon is still the heir
-Both Lyanna and Elia are dead, but I like to think they are happy that they no longer have to put up with Rhaegar's bullshit
-Rhaegar won the war and the Baratheon's were totally wiped out, however in spite of them siding with the Baratheon's, because of the connection to Lyanna and because of who they are, the Starks were not
-Cersei was married to Baelor Hightower and had Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen
-Cersei and Baelor are both dead and Myrcella was raised by Tywin and a bit by JaimeI repeat that this is mostly anti-Targ. Also if you are new to my writing, I always focus more on the story than I do on the facts, so please don't detail check me or tell me things aren't realistic. I know, but I'm here to have fun so please be kind.
