DES MOINES, Iowa — North Dakota State senior sprinter Nell Graham highlighted the Bison's action at the Drake Relays on Friday, winning the 400-meter dash in 52.61 seconds.

It's the second-fastest time in NDSU history behind only her own school record from earlier this month. She is currently ranked 37th in the NCAA this season in the event.

The Bison women also had success in several relay events on the track Friday.

Ilise Jennings, Graham, Anika Larson, and Kendra Kelley placed fourth in the 4x200 relay, despite a dropped baton. Their time of 1 minute, 38.74 seconds is sixth-fastest in NDSU history.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
