What travelers are saying
- Randy ReevesOmaha, NE36 contributionsBest ever to i and my wife to take our 4 year old granddaughter. So much to see and a beautiful place to walk around and to tell our grandaughter about nature and wildlife.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dramus P1 contributionThis collection of automotive racing historical items is definitely worth a visit. The facility is top notch and the collection is displayed in a way that is easy to navigate and view. My family of four stopped on our way home to WI from Denver Colorado. We were pleased that the modest admission fee was structured so that it doesn't deter families with children from taking the tour. My son and I love learning about automotive history and appreciate being able to see things like this in person. The collection ranges from lunch boxes and pedal cars, to race car engines and complete race cars. With three floors on display and an expansion under way, be sure to plan on spending some time here. I would say this museum is similar in quality to the Auburn Duesenburg and Cord museum in Indiana or the Gilmore in Michigan. I only wished for a bit more written information about some of the displays. Over all a great place to check out.Written January 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Randy FPinckney, MI958 contributionsWe really didn’t expect much, but thought let’s see it. The reviews were good, I read to expect to stay 1-2 hours there. We stayed about 4 hours. The museum is deceiving large. The displays and info were very well done. After doing the whole museum we had old fashioned floats and malts!! This is a must for everyone.Written April 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Randy FPinckney, MI958 contributionsWe flew in from Michigan to see John Melloncamp at the Orpheum theater. Never been to Nebraska, never wanted to. Friends razzed us for wasting our time coming here. Well let me tell you, Omaha is a great place. Shopping, restaurants, parks, museums, we could not do or see everything in three days. The city is clean, feels very safe. Spread the word, Omaha is fun!Written April 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WestportTravelGuyWestport, CT145 contributionsWe visited the gardens in February, so we knew that most of the outdoor areas were not in season. Fortunately, the gardens featured an exhibit with dinosaurs made out of Legos, spread throughout the inner greenhouse areas, so that made the visit well worth it.Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - findjoyLittleton, CO33 contributionsThe view was amazing and it was great fun to walk between two states. The bridge is well maintained and the parks are beautiful especially on the Omaha side of the bridge.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aaron ShelbyAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates231 contributionsMy family and I stopped by during our road trip to Lincoln during summer 2023. The garden was immaculate. We enjoyed our leisurely visit and appreciated the wide variety of flowering plants along with the animals living in the park. You wouldn't even know you were right in the middle of the city if you weren't familiar with the area. This is a hidden treasure for Lincoln and the state of Nebraska - Make sure you visit!Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew LLincoln, NE3 contributionsI've been to many of the great buildings in the US and Europe. The NE state capitol in Lincoln has a place among the most spectacular. It is resplendent in detail and monumentally constructed. There are spacious halls, ornate gilded murals, and sequestered alcoves throughout. You can ascend to the top just to below the dome. If you are impressed at all by architecture, you will be moved and never forget it.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alicia_JAChicago336 contributionsWe stopped here to get a close look at the arch but the museum inside was a fantastic surprise. We were greeted at the door by a wonderful staff member who shared a little about the place. The visitor center inside was loaded with great information and here too the staff member was kind and friendly. The museum was a must see. The exhibits are incredible. Guests are guided through with an audio device that explains things very well. The gift shop was loaded with a variety of gifts. It was here I was able to find the sandhill crane sweatshirt I was hoping to purchase while in Nebraska.Written March 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathleen FNanaimo, Canada394 contributionsScottsbluff was such a wonderful stop on our road trip. Staff were courteous and helpful at the Visitor's Centre. The Saddle Rock Trail was such a rewarding hike. It starts like a gentle walk but becomes a hike with significant elevation gain and corresponding rewarding views.Written April 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GoingGone2018Dayton, OH66 contributionsThis is closed for reno but they have the MOST AMAZING collection of Native American artwork. This collection was painted by a man who traveled with a German prince in order to preserve the trip, like a photographer would now. You must read about this before you go. There are several books about it. Prince Maximilian of Wied-Neuwied - how these paintings ended up in Omaha is a huge gift to Omaha. I go there when I visit Omaha and am sad it is temporarily closed but will be glad to go again when they reopen. It is fantastic.Written September 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ClevlanderSpringfield, IL4,987 contributionsThis is a beautiful brown sculpture that overtake several blocks of downtown Omaha, Nebraska. The work is really exquisite and reminds us of the frontier days in this part of the country.
