When there are gaps in life and gaps in relationships, Satan will try and step into those gaps. He is looking for vacuums. I have this theory that there are all kinds of gaps that are leading people into things like taking up causes that they know nothing about. They don’t have a cause, so Satan comes along and hands them a cause. This is exhibited in a group of young people in Portland who burned police cars as a preemptive attack to help Palestine. There are clearly gaps in the life of Pastor John Miller. His wife, Micca, apparently died by suicide, but the strange happenings in the wake of her death leading many to question what really happened. I allowed a gap to appear in my daughter’s life. I did not respond when she began to develop challenges with her body and a subsequent eating disorder. Thank the Lord for what he has done in her life. There are gaps in the lives of children and parents and it is being filled by satanic messages, like the lie of “transgenderism”.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Breaking news! The United Methodist Church just denounced Christianity. They did so not in name, but in deed. At their annual conference, they set out guidelines, of which included the instruction to not solely use male pronouns for God. But, it doesn't stop there. Their focus on race, sexual identity, and pretend gender identity announces that they are no longer Christian. There is something far more serious to this, though. Satan is constructing a bizarre world of inverse Christianity on multiple fronts. He is taking sacred things and inverting them. We must remember that our job assigned by God is to t=free the captives, and these people are captives.

I am like you, in that most of us have playlists of music we like to listen to. It has dawned on me as I have gotten older how many of these songs I have loved contain stupid life advice. There is some good, but it is very rare. The song Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd is a beautiful song, but, there is a line in that song that is some of the worst advice you could be given. On the other hand, there is  one song by John Mellencamp that actually gives some great advice, and a song by U2 that contains some of the worst advice, wrapped in a beautiful package. Let’s examine them against the Word of God. 

What does God’s Word say?
