    Wildlife Photographer of the Year
We went for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year with an 11 year old. We thought it was very good but she was bored there was nothing that we could see the interacts with kids. We also spent time in the Dinosaur room, which was great. The photography we have been before a few years back and thought this time lacked a wow factor. I would say its good to go every few years The Dinosaur exhibition I personally would have liked to see more real fossils and not models.

Not all museums are created equal
Not all museums are created equal, this one stands out. The atmosphere created by the architecture and fittings are a bit special and the exhibits are beautifully presented. It was too hot, but this might be to preserve the artifacts, it was also overcrowded, but that's not surprising given what's on offer. Well worth visiting.

Great but kids probably with cope with it all.
We enjoyed our visit. The dinosaur section was the biggest hit with the kids although they also enjoyed the other animal sections. The earthquake floor is great. It is a bit generally limited on interactivity though and we didn’t do all the floors due to that as the kids got bored

Lots to see, nice way to spend a morning
Went by myself, it was half term so very busy, not sure if it's always so busy. Great morning though, went round each area, Hope was magnificent this was my favourite part the hall was beautiful, but loved the animated dinosaurs too. Tried out the earthquake simulation too which was fine but wished it lasted longer. Was going to have food there but was very busy and the gift shop was very expensive, but other than that great way to spend a morning.

    Great museum
Beautiful museum, lots to see and we were lucky to visit during half term and there were a couple of dinosaur related activities and shows for the children, the show in particular was great and very funny. The museum building itself is stunning. Staff were helpful. Didn't have to queue as we prebooked tickets, but queue for those that didn't have tickets was crazy.

    Iconic London!
A London classic! I brought my cousin here, as it was her first time in London and she was thoroughly impressed. The main hall with Hope the Blue Whale is just so stunning and beautiful! The exhibits were well done and interesting and the large gift shop had a lot of neat souvenirs to bring home. This is my favorite London museum and I will always go back when in town.

    Titanosaur exhibition ..........wow!
Went specifically for the Titanosaur exhibition. We were not disappointed. Having so much hands-on information was engaging for the children, especially having staff around to encourage handling and discussion about specific items, such as jaw bones, all leading to the main exhibit.

    Confusion
A bit confusing prior to visiting I looked on the website and it requested I booked a slot. However on arrival the tickets were not checked and people came and passed. The venue was a bit overcrowded. So levels could have been controlled. Amazing artefacts though.

Great for kids - Titanosaur exhibition
We visited the Natural History Museum in July 2023 with ours kids aged 7 and 11. Our kids love dinosaurs, so we paid to enter the Titanosaur exhibition. The Museum is a beautiful old building which is impressive in its own right. The day we visited was pretty packed but that's to be expected at this time of the year. We were a little short of time so had to rush through most of the exhibits. We spent more time in the Titanosaur exhibition which was great and the kids loved it. It's quite interactive which keeps the kids engaged. Overall we would recommend the NHM, especially if you / your kids like dinosaurs 🦕!

    Stunning Museum
Stepping into the main hall is absolutely stunning - the architecture and huge skeleton of a Blue Whale suspended from the highest level provides endless views and photo opportunities! We really enjoyed the Gemstone and Mineral Gallery with the gorgeous oak display cases from 1881, especially the 9,381 carat flawless blue topaz gemstone and real gold nuggets! Don’t miss The Vault at the end of the room for even more rare and beautiful gems.

A fantastic collection of specimen: dinosaurs is probably the most interesting one, but also human development (my favourite), history of Earth. It is magic. A must see also for children. I spent tons of time there.

Fantastic museum, we all really enjoyed it especially the dinosaur area. We prebooked our tickets for Friday afternoon and walked straight in, it was very busy but we still could see everything and get around. We seen the queue Saturday and it looked horrific! So try visit a week day if possible.

Natural history museum depicts the entire evolution of life on earth. It also shows the different layers and componets of earth as well as other planets of the solar system. It is an excellent learning experience for kids. Would recommend visiting the same.

Really interesting museum, but there's far too many people there and far too many children. It's impossible to enjoy the exhibitions or stand for too long reading about stuff as there's a lot of noise and a lot of people you're essentially blocking by trying to enjoy the exhibitions. It's such a shame as it's a gorgeous place and their exhibitions deserve to be enjoyed as they're highly interesting. I'd suggest letting fewer people in, and I'd also even suggest a child-free day at the museum. I was there with my parents, but couldn't choose that as an option (I'm an adult, and could only choose "family with small kids" or "family with teenagers") so put "alone".

Very interesting.. But they let too many people in, so the place is extremely crowded.. We did however still enjoy all the exhibitions and it was very educational and fascinating.. The amount of cafés and shops are wonderful and very fair prices and delightful quality of food

There were entirely too many people and way too many strollers. We have raised kids and appreciate children, however if a child requires a stroller then they probably aren't ready for a museum. The lines became almost as unmanageable due to the amount of strollers.

The dinosaur exhibit would have been amazing had the impatient crowd not been forcing past you and others just flat walking in front of you

We went on Saturday morning, had pre booked tickets for 10:30am so no queuing. It was fairly quiet for the first 1-2 hours but by early afternoon it was heaving, as we expected. Nonetheless, our dinosaur and animal mad 3 year old LOVED it! Obviously the dinosaurs were his favourite, but he loved it all, including the volcano and earthquakes section. We spent around 4 hours in total looking around and he didn’t get bored at all. We all loved it too. We ate in the cafe in the orange zone which had a good range of sandwiches and hot meals. A wonderful day out, can’t wait to come back!

i am from new zealand and made this one of many on my to do this. i have to say this museum was the worst of them all. the museum itself has some absolutely amazing exhibitions but the amount of people they let in at a time completely destroys the whole experience. it’s loud, hot and everywhere u go u have to push thru people to get anywhere. i also had a man around 40 grab me super aggressively and had a massive go at me for tryna get passed his wife and as a teenager this frightened the hell out of me. if there was less people this wouldn’t be an issue and probably wouldn’t of happened. my dad 60 and i 18 definitely both agreed that the experience from ruined purely because use of this and i wouldn’t recommend going unless ur prepared to struggle to view everything. the staff weren’t very helpful and seemed to be quite rude. all and all waste of £30
