Since joining City in August 2020, Nathan Ake has only known success.

The Dutch defender has won the Premier League title in each of his three seasons and has now won every trophy possible so far during his time at the Etihad Stadium.

Ake was one of a number of players that could have been named Player of the Season in our Treble-winning campaign.

As a centre-back or left-back, he was solid in defence and helped to build up attacks, as well as contributing some important goals during our unforgettable season.

In total, the 28-year-old has made 81 appearances and has scored seven goals during his three campaigns since joining from Bournemouth.

Here we take a look at his numbers during his time at City…

Ake made his debut on the opening day of the season in a 3-1 victory away to Wolves.

He scored his first goal on his first appearance at the Etihad Stadium the following week, although it was a day to forget as City were beaten 5-2 by Leicester City.

But his first season was seriously hindered by injury with a hamstring problem ruling him out for nearly three months.

He was part of the squad that won the Carabao Cup at Wembley in April, before claiming a Premier League winners’ medal and was on the bench in the Champions League defeat to his former club Chelsea.

In his second season, Ake’s influence grew even further as he played nearly twice as many minutes.

A first Champions League goal came on matchday one in the 6-3 victory over RB Leipzig and made crucial contributions on the way to the semi-finals including being part of the sides that kept Atletico Madrid goalless.

He was also vital in our run to our title defence as we won the title on the final day of the season, holding off the challenge from Liverpool.

Ake made a big contribution in our run-in and scored a crucial goal in the 4-0 victory away to Leeds United.

Ake scored against the only goal in the fourth round FA Cup victory over the Gunners before going on to win the trophy at Wembley.

In the Champions League, the Netherlands international made seven starts including the final as we kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory over Inter in Istanbul.
