My experience at Nassau has been pretty alright so far, the student life here is decent and the professors are also okay. One thing I liked this about this college is how intimate the rooms felt, everything was in walking distances, classrooms felt like walking into high school all over again. The professors were also for the most part, knowledgeable and kind. One thing I would like to see change is a stricter rule for vaping/smoking and loitering.
My experience at Nassau Community College has been a great one. For starters, a majority of the professors I've had, have been very understanding and helpful whenever I've had a problem in class. I can tell they truly care for their students. Secondly, I like the classes they have as well. One of my favorite classes was a Latin dance class. It gave me a new level of confidence and it was fun. If I could change anything about the school, it would be the options for food. I personally think we should have a smoothie shop for those who want a refreshing drink other than just iced coffee or simple juice.
One thing I would change is requiring all Professors to post "announcements" about any quizzes, exams, homework or any other assignments on our online learning site, "Bright Space".
I would like to see more club options and the nursing department to be more clear and concise many people in the nursing department tell you about different requirements no one is on the same page
I would have finished my nursing degree but several male counselor where very rude and deterred students from there dreams. Where do they find the online instructions. They are not helpful. Some are rude
Tell you figure it out ongoing own
I wanted totakt the HR certification at NCC.but not sure if they have changed.

I would like to see more attention given to the programs in terms of funding. Additionally, there could be more spaces for students to study.
I love going to NCC for the most part. The professors at the school are really good and are willing to talk to students . There are so many things to do on campus like playing sports , joining a club , even being on the radio. There are resources for you at NCC. If you ever need help with a paper you have to write , you can always go to the writing center. There is a center for disability. You can get tutoring , mentorship , and there is even a place where you can relax and play board games . There is something for everyone at NCC , Even Starbucks . So far I’ve had a great experience at NCC.
Overall my experience has been wonderful at Nassau community college! I love how calm campus life is , the teachers are great, they make class Interactive exciting to learn! I’ve met lovely peers that motivate each other to achieve our goals. Campus is very easy to get around and while it seems very simple it’s easy to manage going to class to class in a timely manner , overall I really enjoy Nassau community college .
So far, it's a good college not only because its cheap but the transfer process and help you get from the staff is really useful. It's a go to if your unsure yet with what you want to do before transferring and that's what im doing right now. My professors so far have been very helpful and they want me to succeed.
A majority of my experience in Nassau Community College has been through zoom, and although it was a challenge the professors were very accommodating. They understood the difficulty of online learning for some students (me for example) and so some professors did their best to make the learning fun. I have no complaint at Nassau and I will forever be grateful of the amazing teachers that has helped me along the way.
My enrollment at SUNY Nassau Community College was a little hectic at first. Being a transfer student and seeing that only a portion of my previous credits were taken, it was difficult to figure out what classes I needed to take for the present semester. After getting a sense but not completely figuring it out, everything began to move smoother for the rest of the semester. NCC offered a number of resources that were helpful, one being tutoring which was online and in person. Taking advantage of these resources helps in the long run.
I think Nassau is a great community school. They offer a variety of classes with good education for a cheaper tuition than most schools. I like the environment Aswell as the education. It is very hard to make friends and join clubs at Nassau, but believe it is possible if you look hard. The professors are well educated, and classes are very interesting. It is a good 2-year school/ community college if that is what you are looking for. There are a lot of different classes offered in Nassau allowing those with an undecided major to try different classes and find their major. The campus is very nice and is also quite large at the school.
I enjoy that the instructors at Nassau Community College are always kind and flexible with you. I appreciate the diversity of support provided by the college, even for the teachers. I cannot think of anything that I would alter.
I really like the professors there. I feel like they are really understanding. The campus and people in general are really nice there too.
What I like about Nassau is their are a lot of resources if help was needed. Many of my professors was amazing and would put effort into getting to know you or even help if ask. However their were teachers that would be rude and seem as if they didn’t want to teach but if you use rate my professor then everything will be fine. Things I would like to see a change is their attitude when it came down to calling the office because not only do you have to wait a while sometimes for them to pick up but when they do pick up they be rude and the call seem rush.
The courses that I have chosen are great. Some prerequisites however have rude teachers who barely teach. If I am paying for a course, I expect to be able to learn in the class. This is the beginning of my second year and I have so far had 1 teacher like that each semester. Please evaluate your teachers better. Another note of constructive criticism is when the students who pay money to attend the school go to financial aid or bursar office, have sit down face to face meetings and try to help the human who is asking for it. Stop giving numbers to call and pushing people away. We come to you for guidance and answers and are simply told to call a number and figure it out on our own, it is infuriating. There are some teachers who will support you and guide you, but I have found them difficult to find. I would like to see more support, guidance, education, and lack of judgement in this school.
I really liked my experience at Nassau community college for the most part. They were very accommodating towards me when it came to extra time toward a test or project.
