Dove Review

“Nail 32” is an inspirational drama, focusing on a cowboy who wants to serve Christ. Based on the true story of Jasper Weaver, the film does a good job in showing the power of a life lived unselfishly for God and others. Brad Johnson plays Jasper “Buck” Livingston, a young cowboy who goes to church one Easter Sunday while on the rodeo circuit, because he promised his mother he would. He is touched by the service and sermon and soon makes a commitment to Christ, despite a few people telling him that cowboys are not in the Bible.

Buck meets a young woman named Ruth and they fall for one another. Soon, he is holding services at the local bar, which is owned by his friend “Red,” who supports Buck’s new life. Buck is kind to his enemies, and one man who harasses him over his newly found faith later becomes his associate pastor.

Buck begins to influence more lives, especially cowboys and those on the rodeo circuit. He actually ends up starting a “cowboy” church! Then he is hit with challenging news that will require his family to have some faith. The concept of 32 nails is explained in the film and is a neat little story. We are pleased to award “Nail 32” our “Faith-Friendly” 12+ Seal. This movie “nails it” with a good story and acting!
